Gym daycare

So I am dying for more me time while losing some weight in the process. I am wondering if anyone goes to golds gym or any other and uses the kid area. How do you feel about it? My dd has never been in daycare and ds goes to Mother's Day out two days a week. Any info? Personal stories?

Re: Gym daycare

  • The specifics are all going to vary from location to location. But I'll tell you that kids club saved me from a mental breakdown

  • Thank you. I know they will vary just wondering how kids and moms felt and such

  • I love ours. It's cheap and the people are amazing. Really though, you're in the building so the workers would have to be pretty fucked up for me to worry about leaving them.

  • Our gym had a great daycare but DS1 refused to be dropped off there. He would meltdown every time we tried. Give it a trial run and see how it goes.
  • I don't go to Gold's Gym, but I use my gym's daycare.  My kids love it, and the best thing about it is getting to take a nice, long, uninterrupted shower in the locker room.

  • Ours is great.  The staff turnover is a little high, but we've never had issues.

  • My kids took over a month to make it past twenty minutes. You have to be hell bent and determined

This is consistent with our experience.

I love it, DD loves it, the ladies in there love DD. We go almost everyday. I've been bringing DD for a long time so she knows the workers pretty well now as well as the other "regular's" kids.

  • We were at Gold's gym until we moved. I'm sure they aren't all the same but my kids really liked it once they got used to going. The only thing I didn't like was that they had a huge tv in one area. The kids really liked it but I feel that doesn't fit with what a gym is all about.

  • I like ours, I don't go to Gold's anymore, but a similar gym in our area.  The only way I can work-out in the summer is to use the kids club.  I was nervous at first, but DS loves playing there.  I think if you really want to work out, give it a shot! :)
