Women's Health Consultants - Minneapolis - Abbott Northwestern

Has anyone here gone to Women's Health Consultants in Mpls? I have been going and I have to schedule my csection at my appointment tomorrow. I feel like I still haven't seen most of the doctors and don't know who to choose. Any opinions- positive or negative would be super helpful!!

  • I did not deliver with them but I did start there when I was first pregnant. Dr. Levitan did emergency surgery on me years ago and she was so wonderful that we wanted her to be my OB when I first got pregnant. We actually switched to a clinic at Fairview Riverside early on in my pregnancy because it was closer to home and had midwives. If I had to choose a physicain at WHC, I would pick Dr. Levitan in a heart beat.

  • I used them for my first. I moved south, so I switched OBs. I really like Dr. Morrison. I would also feel really comfortable with Dr. Harris or Dr. Levitan.

My two boys are getting a surprise May 2015!

  • I've had two cesareans with WHC. Dr. Morrison did my first emergency c-section. I don't remember a lot about, as I didn't really know her, and I didn't have the best experience overall. She did a good job surgically though. My second was a failed vbac turned c-section. Dr. Mainguy did that c-section and I thought she was lovely. Very understanding and sweet under the circumstances (I was really wanting to vbac). I mainly saw Dr. McKeand when I was there though (she wasn't on call for either of my births unfortunately), and if I had to schedule a repeat csection I would definitely plan it with her. She was amazing, and had a great sense of humor.
