NBR - DD1's room needs a facelift (PIP)

Any budding designers out there? I feel like DD1's room needs a facelift. Maybe a new wall color, definitely a new chair, and a few things to make her room feel a little more complete and warm. Seems like something is missing, but I can't put my finger on it.. Any ideas??

Yep. sterile - that's the word I was looking for. I knew something was off. Maybe once we find a new chair, we can add a throw and a shaggy rug or something. It's a small room (about 9.5'x10') so it's been hard to find the right balance of warmth w/out feeling like I'm overstuffing it.

Thanks! I actually painted it myself - that's my pup's silhouette

It's probably my favorite piece of the whole room since it's so personal.

I always think rooms look a bit naked without crown moulding, so I'd say add that and maybe a larger baseboard. Area rugs add texture and pattern and will draw the eye around the room. And curtains in addition to the shades.
