Merry Tuesday Ladies!

This check-in is not necessarily exercise-related.  I know a lot of us are trying to eat healthier and give up bad habits thanks to the motivation of pregnancy/new baby, so any kind of getting heathy is welcome here!

  • This just reminded me I totally left my wine key at my friends house last weekend... darn it.

    Last week- Diet was ok, worked out 4 days. Got a couple runs in.

    This week- I'm late, so I feel like garbage. Which means I'll feel like even more garbage when I finally start. No motivation to work out and want to eat everything in sight. I hope to just not gain anything really.

    My goal- I sincerely hope that the more I run, the more I will lose. The smallest I've ever gotten post kids both was when I was running. So, we shall see if it works a third time.

    QOTW- No pets. I used to bug H for a puppy all the time. I love dogs. Hate cats. But, now with 3 kids. No pets. Probably not ever. I don't need another baby to take care of.

  • What did you do last week?
    ate way too much too much chocolate and only worked out a few times. I realized that I have been pretty depressed with huge sleep deprivation and this frickin weather. I am so over these -20 C days. Like seriously, is it ever going to warm up? So like @tiffletons518 I ate all of the things. I am feeling better this week. I have been getting outside everyday and eating a lot better.
    What are your plans for this week?
    to keep focused on maintaining a healthy lifestyle with exercise everyday and healthy eating (95%of the time!) Also to make sure I am getting outside everyday, even if it is only for a short walk with WIlliam. 
    What's your long-term/mid-term goal?
    I am running a full marathon in May and want to do a PR.
    GTKY: What kind(s) of pets do you have (or have you had)? We have 2 cats, but I have grown up having golden retrievers. I adopted a golden 4 years ago and then moved back in for a few months with my parents. My mom did not let me move out with him. However, she doesn't work and is home all day and they have a dog as well. He is much happier there and I still see him everyday. He runs with me and is the best running partner ever, although I am sure @tiffletons518 would be a good one too!

  • Last week: back at work. I lost 3lbs just by not being home with LO!

    This week:  drowning in paperwork.  I'm never going to get to the gym at this rate!

    Goals:  not to loose my shit at work (plus the last 10 IVF drug pounds).

    Pets:  we had 2 cats and one passed away right before thanksgiving.  DH went out and got another cat last week.  He's a long haired black cat (the one that died was also a black cat) and really sweet.  He was hit by a car and has some brain injury but is otherwise healthy.  We are cat people.  I've been since I when I about 3.  I was in a stroller strapped in and a dog jumped on me an bit me. I couldn't escape.  DH was bit in the ass by a dog as a kid too.  We are meant to be together :x .

  • Last week, Jillian's Ripped in 30. I cannot tell you the difference this has made in my tummy area. I know lots of us wanted to firm up and this is amazing. It's about 25 minutes but tons of core work. It's really paying off!

    This week, squeeze in my workouts. It's tough with my husband's long hours but I am committed to at least 5 days a week!

    Goal is just continue to feel good and enjoy working out! I'm loving the results.

    We had to put our poor dog down 3 weeks ago. I have horrible guilt about it because I had a really hard time adjusting to him and baby together. He was 10 and had a long life of health problems. We found out he had cancer and he only lived 5 days past his diagnosis. I do love dogs, but we are waiting until we are done having kids and they are older! Like not crawling all over the carpet! My parents have a springer spaniel that I adore. So that will feed my puppy loving for now.
  • @tttwalters. I want to be your neighbor for several reasons.. but we are supposed to hit 40 next week so this one stands out...

  • Last week: was able to workout inside with weights or light cardio like 4x during the week and went for one run. I cut down on the snacking and ate pretty well. And doing the pushup and abs challenge. I hadn't stepped on a scale in a while and I am down 7 pounds in the last month! Woo hoo! I'm also in a small size 8, which is soooooo close to my normal size six. 5 more pounds to pre-preg weight!

    This week: Well, I'm still doing the push up and ab challenge, but I have a cold so I am cutting back a bit on the cardio as I need some rest. I also have been eating kinda crappy because 1.) I have been fighting with DH and I am eating my emotions and 2.) it is G's birthday week so I have made treats for school, kid party and family party and we have crap in the house. Also since I have a cold and have the (awesome, don't get me wrong) weight loss said above, I have had a serious dip in my supply and I am pumping about half on my office days. Eeek! So I'm cutting myself some slack in the calorie department while I work on kicking the cold and making milk. 

    My goal: 5 more pounds off by the end of March. Then I will have lost all the weight within the "9 months on, 9 months off" theory!

    Pets: NOT a pet person. I can't even think of being responsible for some other creature in my house, especially not one with no hope of ever cleaning up their own feces or bathing themselves.

    ya that is pretty much how I look when I run... and 40 degrees, I am jealous. I never thought I would be jealous of 40 degrees. FML
