on my BMB posts an ultrasound pic and asks us to tell them if it's a boy or a girl I'm going to lose it.

I don't even understand this...wouldn't the tech tell you if you could determine the sex by the ultrasound?

But if you can see where the placenta is, you can tell for sure what the sex is so why not get support and opinions from everyone on here!!!1!11!

This is Ramzi, yes? I admittedly didn't look at the link.

The study itself isn't bad, but like most theories it isn't 100% right either. FWIW, it was wrong for me. My placenta is on my right and I'm definitely having a girl.

Yeah, this. There's an idea/OWT that if the heart rate is fast, it's a girl. Our baby's hb has always been fast. It's a boy.

Yes! And then the ones who are trying to post their 6-week "bump" photos--it's a little ridiculous right now.
I just can't with those girls and their "bumps" right now. I'm not getting enough sleep to deal with that.

We definitely need more snarking and gifs on O14. I was actually feeling pretty good about the board, but the Monday Bitchfest comments about gender/sex are seriously pissing me off. Can't wait for nub guesses!! *stabs eyeballs*

I showed this to DH and he was like "you could just ask the doctor about it at your confirmation appt." I laughed at him and told him that I'd rather preserve my credibility with this new doc for at least a couple appts before I let him label me as one of the crazies!

I just had my NT scan yesterday and I can barely tell it's a baby from some angles. It's crazy that people are asking about nubs. I honestly don't even open those posts anymore. My tech didn't even spend enough time in the nub area to get a good look. She only printed me face and full baby body shots.

@jessa8907 A coworker of mine announced the sex of his kid at 14 weeks (boy). They got it confirmed at the a/s, but he swore he could see it at 14.

No half way decent tech will even try to guess before 15/16 weeks.

If they do, you can bet they subscribe to these theories, which are not based in research or scientific fact. You don't want a tech like that.
