Well Em is 2 weeks old and DH went back to work yesterday. I had a moment last night where I thought "Yep, I win today." I just got so much done and I am shocked at myself for doing so well on my first day home by myself. Granted, this is my 4th time doing this and I only had the baby home with me yesterday, but still. (DS1 was in school and MIL asked to take the other two for the day... um, sure!) But I forgot how "easy" it is to just have a NB at home (and this is not an insult to FTM's at all, b/c I flipped my shit my first day home alone with DS1. I think I cried most of the day, ha!)
Yesterday I...
1. Was able to nurse the baby before getting the kids ready for school/MIL's.
2. Eat breakfast AND lunch with TWO hands.
3. Finish DS1's Pinterest-Worthy Valentine's for his class. (I'll post a pic soon!)
4. SHOWER. (!!!)
5. Blow dry my hair and put on a little make-up.
6. Took the babe to the pedi for a weight check and NB screening. (I hate that stupid test.)
7. Added Em to my health insurance.
8. Ordered her birth certificate.
Not too shabby, right? The only thing I did NOT get to do was nap... but I wanted to take advantage of just having the baby home with me and not my other 47 kids as well, lol. Today everyone except DS1 is home with me so I'll be lucky if I can eat at all today. But yesterday? I totally won.

So tell me, how are you winning?? What have you done lately that you just thought "Yep, I win."

But I was close. The toaster oven caught on fire after I opened it -- while holding the baby. Boy I sure can move fast if I need to, lol.
made my week. Usually I have to plunge every time.

We discovered dd loves the swing someone gave us that DH finally put together, so I am once again a productive member of society and can eat without having to get up in five minutes.
Also, yesterday I shaved my legs and It. Was. Awesome.

It's going to be hard getting up at 6:00am when I go back to work but thankfully we have a nanny so I won't have to get the kids up and out of the house.
Edit its winning cause of the driving. The rest of my post is a big loss
Also, this is the first time in the 7 weeks I have been a SAHM that we have had enough money at the end of the pay period that I could even transfer some into savings! It's been a big adjustment (especially for DH) but I am finally feeling like maybe we can actually do this!
