Re: **february hopeful hearts check-in 2/10**
Hi Ladies!
Sorry for the late check-in but today was my ER & I have been super tired. Everything went well but 3 of my 8 follies did not mature in time so we ended up with only 5. They did ICSI on all 5 & we will know tomorrow how many fertilized.
QOTD: We were living about 4 hours apart for our first married Valentine's Day so I was bummed that I had to spend it alone. DH surprised me by driving in to take me to dinner & then woke up at 4 am the next morning to drive back to get to work. It meant a lot to me that he would do all of that driving just to spend a few hours with me.

QOTD: We went to a music & dance festival over a Valentines weekend a few years ago. DH surprised me with 2 dozen gorgeous long stem roses & the festival was glorious fun.
QOTD: while we were dating, I was supposed to go visit him for valentines weekend, but my car crapped out. So he came to visit me. I decorated my dorm room with a construction paper heart and photo collage while he was on the way.
Waited a long time, tried a lot of stuff, science made me a mom.

Hi ladies! I started stims on Sunday and go for another check tomorrow morning. I was a little nervous because I already had an 11mm follicle at my baseline but my E2 levels were super low. I'm hoping that one follicle doesn't take over before many others can catch up. My nurse said not to worry because if that happens, they will let it overmature so they can collect more of the smaller ones.
QOTD: DH and I were never really big on Valentines Day.

All Welcome!
Only thing new is my bloat has gotten WAY worse. Put on (what used to be) a loose sweater dress for work and had a NOTICEABLE lump. I have gained about 15lbs from the two cycles (and having stopped running in October to prepare for the cycles). Ugh!! There are only so many outfits of big shirts/sweaters and leggings that I own! Lol
Best of luck to everyone getting ready for ER and ET!
QOTD: this will be our fourth VDay together (one dating, one while engaged, two married). We always celebrate at a nice dinner at one of our favorite restaurants (and first date spots). We even had our rehearsal dinner there. Will be hard not to partake in their extensive wine list this year!
We are still waiting on PGS and FET schedule. In the mean time, doc just called me yesterday to schedule another hysteroscopy before the FET. Looks like we'll be doing that in the next week or so. Gosh, I HATE all the waiting!!!
DH and I aren't really into Valentine's Day, so there aren't any candle-lit memories for us. But this one is our first Valentine's Day as marrieds, so we're looking forward to a special night this time around. The bite is that I'm worried about the money. I'm financially conservative, and all the money for IVF has nearly killed me even though we've budgeted and are okay. But putting out 14k just mentally makes me worry. And now we have our first married Valentine's Day together and I'm worried about how much it's going to cost. IF ruins everything!!
FX for all you ladies with ERs and ETs and 2WWs going on!
All welcome

2/25/14 CCS results in: three healthy frosties!!
4/10/14 FET cancelled due to mucus and lining. Different med protocol for FET 1.2

@CallaLily30 I'm kind of in the same boat. I started stimming Sunday with a 10mm follie and low estrogen. So nervous that one will just suck up all the meds
@berries555 good luck Wednesday! I think as long as your sitting mostly the concert is fine.
AFM...today is day 3 of stims. Excited/nervous for monitoring tomorrow. Really hoping we get more eggs than last time.
We're not that big on Vday. Usually order a pizza and watch a movie, I'm kind of a homebody so that's my kind of date

Cheers and a big applause to all those who shared good news and hugs to those who need them. I'm so thankful for this forum - it is such a great place to share, vent and get our questions answered. You ladies are such a wonderful source of support for me.
Day 6 of stims for me. Tomorrow morning I go in for my first ultra/blood work appointment. Praying the 9 follies I had at baseline have doubled and are all the perfect size (ok - I might be pushing it. Hopefully they are growing though!).
QOTD: We aren't huge on Valentine's Day. This year we plan to make fondue at the house and call it a night. I did have my picture taken professionally last week in his favorite team jersey and I bought him a new shirt/tie. When I got home from work last night I got to unwrap a new purse and DH said I will have a new present to unwrap each night this week since it is such a special week (V-Day on Friday and my 40th Birthday on Sunday). This year might be my most memorable!

QOD: My husband surprised me with a quick trip to the Tennessee Aquarium a few years ago. Just the two of us. It was nice to leave town for a few days and not having to plan anything!
I took my last BCP yesterday. Now, I am just waiting for AF so I can go to baseline!! I'm so excited and nervous to get started.
QOTD: We don't really do much for Valentine's Day. Usually my husband makes dinner and we eat together. Often times one or both of us pick up chocolate or a dessert to share. So exciting, right?
~SAIF/PAIF/Everyone Welcome~

@jlr96 – Hope you get a great fert report!!!
@Jill Wheat – yay for two embies!!! Hoping they grow and thrive!
@jaztaz1 – Hope ER went great!
@Milagros315 – hope the gut feeling is wrong. I was CERTAIN that IVF#1 hadn’t worked, but…. (siggy warning).
@berries555 – I would bet you’d be fine for sitting at a concert, provided you had the energy for it. A doctor told a friend that she could go bungee jumping post ET and it wouldn’t make a difference. Not sure about that, but the point is that a concert sounds fine. Hope you have a great time!
@FloandMark – are they monitoring you for OHSS? You might want to call the doc to check. *hugs*
@sorrellam30 – Great news!!!!
@IFinTN – Happy flying! This is going to be great. And I’m sure the techs have seen it all! ;-)
gtbride&groom – welcome! Be sure to warn people that you post contains mention of your other children. Most people would write “***older children mentioned***" at the top of the post. Most people here have been TTC #1 for years, so it can be hurtful to read about others’ success without being warned on the bad days. In other news, yay for visiting my hometown of Chattanooga!!!
Whew, that was long! Best wishes to everyone else, and especially those nearing ER and ET!!!
I finally have something to report! Today was my first non-BCP day, so yay!!! Definitely tired of the bloat, break-outs, sore boobs, and crankiness. I had my baseline appt yesterday, and all was well. AFC was between 20-24, even though I thought the doc had said it was closer to 12 total, and freaked out bc it was so much lower. I also got my RPL panel back, and everything was 100% normal. I guess that’s good and bad. I did find out some bad news about the doctor rotation for my cycle, and I’m waiting to hear back from the clinic about it (posted elsewhere about team clinics). I think there’s a slight chance I might cancel my cycle, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed it won’t be necessary. Otherwise stims start Friday.
QOTD: Meh, Not into it. First shot is on Friday, though.
Good luck to all the hearts!!!!!!!!!!!!

Male Factor (severe oligospermia)
After such a bad fertilization rate and so much unexpected trouble from my endometriosis (endometriomas that looked like follicles during the stimming and grew with my other follicles; poor egg quality), we are very hesitant to consider doing another ER from me (even if we could raise/save/borrow the necessary funds) and with @Manada's DOR she's not a good option for us for ER. I was supposed to have the "good" ovaries.
We don't know what we will do if we don't get pregnant form any of these embryos. And we are still trying to deal with/manage the trauma from all the ups and downs and surprises and devastations of last week (ER, fert report, waiting days, etc.). We are so scared. And yet we also want to be hopeful for these embryos that we do have.
QOTD: @Manada's birthday is on the 13th (tomorrow!!!) so we don't celebrate V-day. I've never been a fan anyway. Although I do love Romantic Comedies, so I might use the occasion to get M to watch one with me.
We're queer. I'm 33, have severe stage 4 endo, and had both fallopian tubes removed. My love ("Manada" on the boards, 32) was diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve. We did Partner IVF (my eggs, her uterus). We lost our twins Tavin and Casey at 21 weeks gestation.
Our IUIs
with @Manada: IUI# 1-7 (December 2012- September 2013) all BFN. Tried natural, femara, clomid, puregon/follistim, clomid and menopur combo, both the ovidrel and HCG triggers.
Our IVFs:
IVF #1 my eggs November/December 2013: Cancelled IVF due to poor response
IVF #2 my eggs/Manada's uterus January/February 2014
BCPs and lupron overlap Stimmed: 1/22-2/2: Bravelle and Menopur (dosage ranged from B300 and M150 to B375 and M150 to B300 and M225)
2/4 retrieved 10 eggs. Endo was much worse than expected. Only 3 eggs fertilized; February 7 transferred two day 3 embryos, froze one. All great condition.
BFP eve of 6dp3dt; Beta 1 (11dp3dt): 110; Beta 2 (13dp3dt): 175; Beta 3 (15dp3dt): 348; Beta 4 (19dp3dt): 2222; Beta 5 (21dp3dt): 4255
1st ultrasound (3/6 6w 1d): TWINS!!!! Twin A measuring 6w1d with a heartbeat of 118bpm. Twin B measuring 6w0d with a heartbeat of 113bpm.
***July 18, 2014 we lost our beautiful babies at 21 weeks gestation. They were born too early. Tavin Sara T. and Casey Elizabeth T. are beautiful and precious and we will love them and miss them forever.***
