Opinions... Graco Twin Pack 'N Play?

Does anyone here have experience with the Graco Pack 'N Play Playard with Twin Bassinet? It looks so useful for twins but the reviews have warnings that the twin bassinets cave in at the middle when babies are sleeping in them... that make me hesitant to buy. Whats your opinion?

Also, if you have another pack n play that you like for twins, I'd love to hear you recommendations!

  • I bought one and returned it. It was even on clearance, but I still didn't think it was worth it. I thought it was kind of a PITA to put together... Like wrestling a hyena. You have to slide the mattress under the bassinets, so if baby(ies) spit up and you need to get it out of there to clean or change the sheet it won't be easy. Also, the bassinets do not detach. So, you either use them or you drop the mattress to the floor and use it that way-no option to just use the mattress elevated. It seems like a great idea, but we are just going to use the PNP we already have and buy a second, cheap one. That's just my opinion...

  • I am using a regular bassinet pack n play for both right now and it is more than fine. When they outgrow it, they will go to their own cribs.
  • I have it used it the first few weeks then went to RnP sleepers and they are wayyyyyyyy better. I never had the issue with the middle part but my boys are refluxy so rock n plays were nicer when it came to co sleeping. Save the money and just get rock n plays and a nice pack n play with other useful features. We have one with a changing table for down stairs and I love it so I'm not running all over for diapers etc. plus they sleep feet to feet in the bassinet part of that one just fine for naps. Honestly the twin one is gimmicky and a regular one will work just fine. The only reason we kept the twin one is for a travel p n p when we go to grandmas house :) hope that helps!

  • We have a twin one. I got it from another MoM I know and it does seem to sway towards the middle. Obviously I haven't tried it with babies yet but we will be trying it out. I also have RNPs ready to go.

  • We got two regular pack n plays with the bassinet top, with the idea that we would need portable cribs for travel when they were older. They both fit in one when they were small, but had reflux bad enough that we ended up using the rock n plays for night sleep at first.

  • I'd get a regular one (holds 15lbs in bassinet part), and then buy a second if needed. My twins moved to their cribs before they reached the 7.5 lb (each) max. I've heard horrible things about the twin PNP. Otherwise consider a cosleeper. It can be configured like a PNP, but has a 30 lb weight limit.
  • We got one as a gift. I was nervous about it after reading all the reviews, but we didn't have any problems. E had a six week NICU stay and H wouldn't sleep in it until E came home, but for the 7-8 weeks between E coming home and moving them to the nursery, it was great. It is a pain in the ass to change sheets, but fortunately neither of them are big spitters. We didn't have any sagging in the middle.

  • Don't get it- get the Joovy 2 play yard- it's a nice sized playpen. I had a regular PNP I would let them nap in, but the first 4 months they slept on rock and nappers.
  • I have it and we haven't had any issues with it.   I thought it was best for the space that we had in our room.    I will say that we do bring up one RNP for nighttime to have just in case one of the babies is extra fussy and we can't get them to sleep - then we can rock and vibrate if needed.   But I want them to get used to sleeping on a flat firm surface like their crib - so this works for us now.

  • We have it and never had any issues with ours.  We used it in our room until they were about 5 weeks old then I started putting them in their crib.  I didn't want to get our boys use to sleeping at night in their RNP so we used the twin PNP at night because the surface was similar to their mattress. I use their RNP for naps during the day. We never had any issues with sagging but it is a pain to change the sheets.

  • We had it, I thought I would only use it when needed for travel, but our first night home from the hospital we opened it and used it that first week with mom or dad sleeping with them in the living room. After that week we put them in their cribs. When my mom was visiting and sleeping in the living room, she used the twin pnp so they could sleep near her. I appreciate that it is like their crib, rather than a "day" toy.

Rather than sheets, we put down water proof pads and aden/anais blankets tucked over each side. Easier to clean.
