  Either seat is a great choice. They are essentially the same seat. The pinnacle has side impact cushions and a higher price tag. Since there are no side impact testing standards, you can't say that the pinnacle is a safer seat than the frontier, but if you prefer the cushions and don't mind the price, go for it!
  
  These seats have the longest lasting forward facing harness available, which is a fantastic selling point!
  
  They are a little wide, so if you need it next to another carseat, you need to consider that that might be a problem.
  
  You can't go wrong with either seat

  Like PP said, the only difference is the side impact cushions.  I think the Frontier has pretty good side impact protection already and I didn't think the extra was worth the money.
