She always takes one sick off and now I only have one pair and a million singles. She's going to have to wear mismatched socks now. I have no idea where she puts the other ones!
DD has been wearing mismatched socks a lot lately. Dh and I were at the mall last night in the play area and were joking about how all the kids socks don't match.
our washing machine eats socks.... you too could have a sock gremlin lurking in the house
I've avoid the sock gremlin by keeping her socks in a mesh laundry bag! I throw them in there when she takes them off at night, and keep the bag in her laundry basket. It zips up and nothing falls out (although sometimes takes a little longer to dry than the rest of her clothes). I've only lost ONE sock her entire life so far - she kicked it off in Target and I didn't notice til we were getting back in the car
DD actually likes taking both of them off but usually just in the car, so I can find them most of the time. I did buy DD some more socks last week and somehow managed to lose one the first time I washed them. She hadn't even worn them yet, and I'm already down one sock! Grr... I think we have a sock grmelin too (and I'm way too lazy to put them in a mesh bag - that would mean sorting all the socks out of the laundry before washing... :P)
I keep the bag hanging over the side of her basket, and throw them in every night - I would be too lazy to sort too!
My DD is half hillbilly, too. Aplogies to any real ones on the board. I hawk her so I don't lose the one sock she pulls off or put a pair of slippers on her. She loves her little bear slippers and leaves those on.
One of the boys' favorite activities is opening the drawer in their changing table stand, taking out all the socks one by one, and dropping them on the floor. So yeah....trying to keep pairs of socks together anymore is pretty much impossible.
