I have a card for H but I doubt he'll have one for me. Lol. No gifts or special outings for us. I might make us an appetizer supper once LO is in bed though. Fancy-schmancy.
For LO, I think I might grab him a couple helium balloons. He loves balloons right now so I think he'll get a kick out of ones that float. I'm also thinking of making him a grilled cheese for supper that night and cutting it like a heart. He probably won't appreciate it but I'll have fun doing it
We did Valentine's Day yesterday. We never celebrate the day but we use the time as a reminder to do something fun together so we went to see Cirque du Soleil and went out to dinner. We hadn't been out in awhile just the two of us so it was nice. When we got home, he turned into a whiny baby after Alexander got sick and threw up so I ended up having to deal with two whiny toddlers for the rest of the night.
My kiddo has her first Valentines Day dance this week, speaking of this day. It's on Wednesday, though.
Hold me..
I don't remember having a dance in 2nd grade? I think we still took naps on colored mats, haha. Now they're having dances and learning multiplication and division <~ she started this today. UGH.

Seriously? The only dance we had in 2nd grade was daddy daughter dance. That makes me miss the daddy daughter dance. Now it's like i pick up my dad for dinner and i sneak him crown and coke HA!

haha!! Seriously. I mean, it's just a big "group" dance. The kids are supposed to wear pink or red, and parents stay there (but my parents are taking her!) and they have pizza and brownies and stuff. But still! Her first dance..
DH and I don't exchange cards for anything. For Valentine's Day, he sends flowers to the office -- mostly to get a reputation as one of the good ones rather than actual romance -- and we get a nice dinner. That's it. (And I'm fine with that.)
Our wedding anniversary is next month, though, so we save the effort for that.
We don't do anything with LO. I'm dreading preschool parties.
We went out last Friday to house hunt out of town without DD and we're counting that as our romantic evening. We had drinks at a bar, brought back chocolate molten lava cake, and opened up a bottle of champagne in the huge hot tub. Best part was it was quiet and we slept though the night. Hurray!
We haven't really celebrated VDay since we were dating. Our dating anniversary is Feb. 1, so we usually do a little something for that.
DS goes to daycare but not on Fridays. Some of the other kids bring little gifts on holidays, but I'm thinking maybe I can get out of that since he won't be there?? What do you guys think?
I love celebrating every holiday, even a cheesy made up one so we usually exchange gifts, maybe have a date night. Our first valentine's we had only been dating a month and ended up going out for dinner and not mentioning the fact it was Valentine's so its always a cute holiday to remember for us. I like any excuse for a present as well. For LO I have some chocolates and a card but love the book idea...wondering if I can track one down. He is getting older though and not so much into it this year.....love and hearts is not cool for boys!
I got the DH a picture of LO and me. LO and I are heading to Florida on Friday. My DH is traveling to Mass for work. IT was time to go visit Grandpa. I am not sure if he is going to get me something. My Birthday is one week from today and I got a new laptop/tablet thing!!!! So I don't need a Vday Present
Re: Valentines
We get a little something for DD, though. And she passes valentine's to her class!
We don't celebrate the day, but DH's birthday is tomorrow, so I focus on that and then together we pretty much ignore Valentine's Day.

We dont exchange gifts, DH does normally has flowers sent to work for me which is nice.
LO is still a bit little for gifts or celebration, but we will definetly jump on that bandwagon next year!
