For those of you with a nanny, does she drive your LO? DD is 4.5 months and our nanny will be watching her this coming Sunday for a few hours. I feel bad that they're always held up in our small condo and was thinking about giving her the car seat adapter and stroller to be able to take her to the Rosebowl, if she wants. But then again i'm kind of nervous about DD being in someone else's car...
If your nanny drives your LO did you check their driving history? Do you give your nanny limitations on where they can go?
Any tips?
Re: Nanny driving LO?
It was a must for us to have a nanny that drives. I asked for her DL number so I could run a driving report for her. It is also a condition of her employment that she maintains a valid drivers license and insurance. We provide and install the car seats.
I know some people who provide a car and carry that car and nanny on their own insurance. I don't think that is necessary. Also, if you are concerned, have her drive you around to a few places so you are comfortable with her driving.
Our last nanny drove DS around. We are searching for a nanny for our new LO now, and one of my requirements is that she have reliable transportation.
