Paging Dr. Bump (tmi)

Hi everyone! I will start by saying I am calling a doctor tomorrow but I just wanted to see if anyone else is in the same boat or has been. I would have called a doc sooner but my insurance switched the day she was born and I dont have a doc right now. Long story.

Anywho, she was born on the 31st and I am still bleeding pretty heavy. Sometimes it still gushes like it did leaving the hospital. It had slowed a little. Now It just started to hurt peeing after I felt like I peed myself but it was a gush of blood. So much is going on down there I don't know exactly where that blood came from. That only happened twice but still hurts every once in a while to pee. But not like a uti. Also don't have the urge to pee without the little person reminding me I have a bladder. :/

Anyone else still bleeding heavy this long after delivery?

    After having DD I had retained tissue that caused a lot of bleeding. I would call your on call doc if you are soaking a pad more than every couple hours.

    I still have bleeding and my LO was born on 1/30, but it has slowed to a medium flow. The gushing you describe would probably make me call a doctor, along with the other pain, however I was having a lot of bleeding only 1-2 days ago still (it came and went). Fx all is well and you can get ahold of a good MD!

    I'm still bleeding and still hurts to pee and my son was born 1/17. I asked my doc she said only call/worry if I'm soaking a pad in an hour. She did say if it slows and then picks up then it's prob because I am doing too much. The midwife explained the difference between uti and birth/tear pain to me. Uti pain begins the second you start peeing where as tear pain begins just an extra half second later...

    I had my son on 1/30 and I'm still bleeding quite a bit with some pain occasionally.

    I am still bleeding lightly and delivered on 1/27.  I also still have clotting which slightly concerns me.  They are only about dime sized but there every time I use the restroom so hopefully this is also normal.

    I know this post is a week old, but curious if you were able to talk with your doctor.  When I left the hospital it seemed the bleeding had slowed somewhat, but then it picked back up again and has continued to be bright red (9 days postpartum).  I am also passing tissue/clots, not too frequently though.
