I hope everyone had a good week
Mine was full of ups and downs. I didn't loose any weight according to the scale. But I know why. I ate great all week and did 30 min on the elliptical every day but one. I absolutely love the MyFitPal app. It really makes me aware of eating too many carbs. I'm a vegetarian so I used to eat carbs with every meal but now I'm starting to swap for proteins.
Last night I made tofu cutlet parm with spaghetti squash instead of pasta and it was delish.
So any hoo, back to why the scale didn't change. Last Saturday we had my sisters bachelorette party. I did watch what I ate while out but I drank way too much. It was bad, I couldn't get out of bed till two the next day. It's been a long time since I did that but don't regret it cause we all had a blast.
We also went to a fitness place and learned how to pole dance. Yes you read that right... I learned how to pole dance. And it kicked my ass!!!!!!!
At first everyone was being silly but we quickly realized it's really hard work. I got into it way too much. I was the biggest girl there but I was working that pole the best. Well 2 days later it cought up to me. I couldn't move my arms. My shoulders and pecks were on fire. And bruises, I have so many of them my legs look polka dotted. My inner thight have black bruises the size of my hand and then I have smaller ones going down my lower legs right dune to the tops of my feet. Even now a week later they are still very angry looking (I do have low platelet count so I usually bruise easy). But omg it was so much fun!!!!! So between the muscles and bruising I swelled up by Monday. I was 8lbs higher on the scale. It has taken all week for the swelling to go down so I'm not surprised I havnt lost anything.
Well that was my crazy adventure anyone else have a crazy week like mine.
Just remember it's easy to make one small change at a time. Add 15 min of exercise or swap some fruit for an unhealthy snack. I never thought I could do this and I am.

Re: Healthy Check-In
I havnt cut out the goodies completely. If I eat great all day and am under my calories I treat myself to say 1 piece of chocolate or 1/2 cup of ice cream. Just remember portion control, 1 piece of chocolate is ok but 6 isn't. I think if we know we can reward ourselves it makes cutting back not so bad.
But you really did great this week. Pat yourself on the back and keep up the awesomeness!!!!!!

Your doing a great job! Speaking of elliptical I told MH I had a dream that I went down on the elliptical and it felt great. He said really? What I really meant was I went ON it. Lol. One day....

Elias (Eli) born 9/2/17 at 7:07pm weight 8lbs 10oz and 20.5 inches long!!
And so funny about "going down in an elliptical". If that were the case maybe I'd be a little more excited to exercise.
@Samuelismomma you are my idol. 5lbs..... That's amazing. Especially with what you just went through. You are a very strong woman. Both physically with all the work you are doing and mentally with your stress management. My hat goes off to you lady.
@soontobeshrader my husband has ED issues so seeing my flabby body dancing around would NOT help matters. Lol. But it was fun dancing with the girls. Oh and I forgot to mention I took my 17 year old daughter along. That's not too trashy right....right! I told her to learn so she can pay for college next year. I was only kidding. Or not.
And you get a pass this week for AF. She is a bitch and we don't like her much.

I did OK--stuck with the Weight Watchers program pretty well, and am now down 2.5 lbs (sadly, that's the total for the whole time I've been on it, not for this week.) You have to start somewhere though, right? Still no exercise whatsoever. I'm coming to the conclusion that it really might not be possible right now, which sucks, but all things in time, I guess...
Pole dancing sounds awesome! In case I ever make it back to a gym, would you recommend it for workout (as well as entertainment) purposes?

My Ovulation Chart
Losing 2.5 pounds is great. It doesn't matter how long it takes. It is actually better to lose weight slowly. Your body adjusts better and doesn't go into shock. If you lose 10% of your body mass you are supposed to wait 6 months before trying to lose more so your body can adjust. Slow and steady wins the race with weight loss.
You are doing great.
