Hi, my name is Shelly (full first name Rachelle, the nickname just makes it easier!), I've been married to my amazing husband Chris since 11-11-11 (I figured that'd be an easy way to remember our anniversary!), and I'm pregnant with our first child. We found out on January 27th what my motherly intuition was telling me all along, that we were having a boy (love it when I'm right! lol), and just going from there! Oh, also, I'm 28, and my husband is 27, sorta late in the game, I know, but I'm still happy I was able to get pregnant before 30 as I'd hoped! Oh also, I found out I was pregnant a week after we buried my mom's mom (we called/call her Nunnie, she came over from Naples, Italy), and I can't help but feel she is my baby's guardian angel because of it. OK, I'm done! I'm always nervous introducing myself, so, sorry if I typed too much! lol

I should've clarified, better late with the intro.

No way can I say late about having kids! I think I'm one of the older mama's to be here any way. Bringing in the mid-late 30's here! (36 to be exact)

Thank you guys! I always freaked out that I was getting "too old" to have a baby or that there was something wrong with me (biologically) because most of my friends and relatives got pregnant in their really early 20's. I kinda always figured it doesn't matter when you have a baby, as long as you're ready for it when you do, and I *so* was not ready in my early 20's! It was just the stupid peer pressure rearing it's ugly head! I was also kind of scared that I couldn't have babies period, mostly due to how easily these other women could get pregnant so easily and quickly, and it took me about 6 months to get pregnant after going off of birth control. I know (now!) that everything I went through was totally normal, but I had never tried to get pregnant before, and also, I obsess horribly and things seem so much worse to me because of it. Please do not take offense at the "too old" part, I only meant it for myself (I'm really hard on myself, btw), and I don't think there is a "too old" to have a baby, my mother didn't have me until she and my dad were 33.
