Potty training AW - thank the Lawd!

So this may be NBR, but it is a huuuuuuge deal for me! DD1 has been using the potty consistently since Saturday -- poop AND pee! I even sent her to school in undies rather than a pull up, which made me a little nervous but I know it's the best thing for her to be consistent and I know her teachers will check in and take her to the potty. If this is the real deal, I will be absolutely thrilled to not have 2 in diapers anymore!

    congrats! such a great feeling!! I had 2 in diapers for a year. It honestly didn't bug me, but definitely much better when it's just 1 in diapers! DD1 was potty trained 3 months before DD2 was born so that was nice!

    We have been trying since last summer to get her to train -- she first peed on the potty when I first got pregnant and I was so psyched, but then she was like, "nope!" and absolutely refused to do it again. No amount of cajoling or bribing worked....she just decided she was ready this weekend. Classic example of my stubborn little lady -- she does nothing till she's good and ready!

    That's awesome!!! I am so jealous! DS isn't even close yet. I have the potty in the bathroom and we talk about it but plan to start trying this summer.

    I'm jealous! Right after starting with ds1 the pedi said she didn't think it was a good idea with all the change going on. And 2 days later he had a complete mental breakdown and wouldn't go on the potty or in a diaper because he was so confused and was screaming in pain. We're putting off for a little while longer now! Congrats on a potty trained dd!

    Sorry your DS is having such a hard time! It probably is best to give him a little break from it. I was prepared to wait a bit longer since everyone told us now would be the worst time to do it. But she totally surprised me with the decision to do it on her own. So you never know!
