If your baby STTN...

What the heck diaper are you using? Warner doesn't STTN, by a long-shot, but last night I put him in a pampers overnight 7p-7a and it leaked. wtf. Before that I was using a regular diaper and changing once in the middle of the night before a nursing session. What is working for you??

Re: If your baby STTN...

  • We use Huggies overnights and have never had a problem with them leaking. Now there are some mornings when she had extra water with dinner before bedtime that the diaper was super full and the outside of it felt a little wet but her clothes have never gotten wet

  • That's the kind we use. DS doesn't STTN either, but since I don't usually change him MOTN, it has to do the whole night. Maybe a size up for night-time would work?

  • Huggies, either snug and dry or little movers. I've had them both get really full but they never leaked. Snug and dry seemed a lot better though. I have not tried the overnights.

  • My older DS had that problem... no matter what diaper we put him in he leaked through it- though we never tried cloth diapers. He eventually outgrew it... I think boys especially- those who are stomach sleepers have this problem a lot!

  • We have used Huggies and Pampers Overnights. We were using a size larger than what she wears during the day.

  • Pampers baby dry works for us. We just used up a box of luvs and those leaked overnight.

  • We switched from Pampers Overnight to Huggies Overnight.  Brayden kept peeing out of the pampers.

  • Somehow we've never had leaking problems no matter what diaper we use. We currently use Target's Up and Up. I guess it's because DS isn't really a "heavy wetter." We also don't really give him much fluid (other than breastmilk) throughout the day. Sometimes his diaper is soooo full, but no leaking.
We are about to make the switch to cloth, and I'm worried it will be an issue.

  • We use Pampers baby dry or Pampers Swaddlers usually after 10-12 hrs no issues just a super big diaper in the morning

  • We use Up and Up (Target) and sometimes Pampers Baby Dry. I put a new diaper on him right before bed, then nurse, books, teeth, and bed. No issues, his diaper is very puffy in the morning but never. Leaks... And he sleeps on his tummy.

  • We are using Huggies Snug and Dry....but Eli was soaking through those so I actually put 2 diapers on him now.  I've been doing it for a few weeks now and it's working.  The outside diaper isn't wet when he wakes up but it just gives us enough of a barrier to keep all the wet in. Then I usually just take off the inside diaper and use that outside diaper for his first morning diaper. that way I don't feel so guilty for using 2 diapers at once.

  • We had to go up a size at night. You could also try getting a plastic cover to put over the regular diaper or a cloth diaper cover over the regular diaper. We haven't needed to do that because Will is drinking significantly less throughout the day but that's what I would try next.

  • No STTN either but we don't do a diaper change... We still use pampers swaddlers... If she leaks we go a size up. No problems, it is super full in the morning but no leaks :)

  • B isn't sleeping through the night yet - not even close - but I don't change her diaper. We use Naty size 5 and have never had a leak. Really happen with them.

  • Capri has been STTN for about six months now. I didn't have an issue with her leaking through until a few months ago with Pampers. We switched to Luvs and had the same issue. Come to find out she needed a bigger size. Since we moved up to size 3 no more leaks.

  • Pampers baby dry but we did have to go a size up to stop leaks.
I like target and huggies snugg for the day time.

  • We use pampers swaddles. Mason sleeps through the night but once in a while he will get up and I change him. He's never really wet at night.
  • Cloth (hemp/bamboo prefold inside a cover) or a plain ol' Up & Up.

  • Huggies Snug n Dry.  They do leak occassionally if my girls pee a lot, but not enough for me to switch to the overnights quite yet.  My son needed the overnights by now.  But Huggies for sure.

  • Do you point his penis down in the diaper? Maybe just try hiking it up more in the front if he's a tummy sleeper? We had to switch to pampers overnights for my son because he was soaking through regular diapers. Those usually work but we still have mornings where his PJs smell like urine although they aren't usually wet.

  • My baby doesn't STTN, but I don't change her MOTN either. She goes about 11 hours in her overnight diaper. I use cloth, but when I've used disposables on vacation, I haven't had leaks, and I just use whatever's the cheapest.

  • Pampers baby dry but I have to make sure the tabs are tight and at the very top of the diaper. LO is stomach sleeper and if not the top part folds down and she wakes up soaked (every time DH puts her night time diaper on lol).
  • The only thing that works for us is the Huggies overnights in one size larger. DS is a stomach sleeper and everything else leaks.

  • I LOVE Huggies overnights. She only wakes up once, but I don't change her diaper. I buy one size up in them so they are a little bit roomier.
