How long is your LO napping these days? Mine has been napping for right at the 1 hour mark for the last few weeks, and I can tell it's not enough. I literally have the toddler who is spinning in circles for an hour and a half before bedtime. I thought I'd adjust bedtimes to see if he just needed to sleep longer at night. Instead, going to bed earlier has made him get up earlier (not cool, man).
FTR, he goes to bed around 8 and is usually up at 7, and generally sleeps solidly through. Add an hour nap, and that's 12 hours a day, which I understand is normal, but I can read his signs to see he needs more. If I go in and lay in front of his crib, about 25% of the time he goes back down for the rest of his nap. But, with #2 coming in about 6 weeks, I can't carry on doing this.

SS - because there always is one :)
Re: Nap Time Lengths
I voted SS because we are still on 2 naps most days.
On daycare days (he goes until 2:30), he naps for 30-45 mins at daycare at noonish and then again for 1-1 1/2 hours at home at about 3:30. Bedtime is at 8.
On days he's home all day he naps for about 1-1 1/2 hours at 10ish and then again for the same at 3ish.
On Mondays, he is at daycare until 4:30 and only gets 1 nap (30-45 mins) and he is a mess Monday evenings.
We are typically in the 1.5-2 hour range at home, usually closer to 1.5. Sometimes he will sleep 3+ which usually results in us waking him up at 5 pm, but those days are rare. It varies at the sitter, he is not on as much of a schedule there as at home.
"I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always.
As long as I'm living,
my baby you'll be."
Charlie was napping for 45 minutes until just the last couple weeks when it's most of the time jacked up to 2 hours. I think we have a growth spurt happening though, all of a sudden her pants are not as long as they were before.
Even a minor event in the life of a child is an event of that child's world and thus a world event.
1.5 - 2 hours for daycare.
Lucky for us there's been a total lack of weekend naps the last two weekends. Go to sleep, kid!!
