Weekend moment

Just wanted to share a moment I had with DS this weekend.

We decided to go to the Academy of sciences aquarium in SF today because it was free to the public and we had been cooped up in the house because it's been raining here. Of course when we get there it's crazy crowded and we end up parking pretty far away and to top it all off no one remembered to bring an umbrella. So DH and I looked at each other annoyingly and started our trek in the rain. As I grumbled to myself about how we were going to be soaked and miserable DS looks up at me and says "mama this is fun!"
That's just what I needed and it made my heart melt. Kids are so innocent and truly enjoy every moment of life. It was really nice to be reminded of the simple pleasures.
What has your little one done that has just reminded you to slow down and enjoy the moment?

Re: Weekend moment

  • Aww, what a cutie! I love how they can really remind us what is important in life.
E is learning about facial features. She knows when mommy makes a sad face, she needs a hug and kiss. And she's practicing making different faces herself and we are talking about the emotions that go with those faces. It's so weird bc I don't remember learning those things, but I guess someone taught me.

This post makes me smile  ;;)

Right now C is completely obsessed with light switches. As soon as we come in the door from an outing he gets all giddy and reaches for the light switch and then we have to go push each one. He is grinning from ear to ear the entire time. Amazing how simple little things just give them so much happiness.
Sooo cute! I guess there is something exciting about light switches. DS still loves that.
