Ovulating pains?

I've heard of women who are able to feel when they are ovulating but never had it (until now, I think). I feel a kind if cramping and bloating feeling in my uterus and it's right at the time I should be ovulating- is that what it is?

yes-- it came as sort of a surprise to me, since i had been on BCPs since i was 18. i'm not sure if i didn't happen before or, more likely, i just didn't realize what it was. it's actually called mittelschmerz ("middle pain").
