  I honestly can't imagine pushing a 6-year-old in a stroller, unless he is REALLY small for his age.  You may have to take breaks to rest, or decide you're only going to tackle small pieces of the park at a time, but I think the 6-year-old should be able to walk it.

  I agree with pp. My 3.5 yr old won't even ride in a stroller anymore, I certainly can't imagine a 6yr old riding in one.

  My 4.5 yr old twins both voluntarily opted to ride in the stroller this past week at disney most of the time we were there. They realized quickly how much walking it was, and also I have one that wanders and takes his good old time & it would have made us insane if he walked the whole time, we constantly have to get him to speed it up and follow us.  And I would think pushing two 34 lb kids is about the same as a 6 & 2 yr old and it isn't a big deal from a pushing standpoint IMO.
  
  I have never known anything but a double stroller but I do think that folding up a double city mini or whatever you rent (I saw a lot of those around & that is what our stroller was for the kids when they were younger) will be a pain in terms of dragging it on & off buses & stuff. The people across the hall from us even left theirs open in the hallway all the time I'm assuming b/c it was too much crap in the room. Which brings me to another question, where will you be staying? If at a monorail hotel & the monorail is working when you're there (it is closed weekdays from 1130am-7pm right now through the end of March), then it won't be as much of an issue necessarily, depending on where you're planning to go.
  
  I was also going to suggest renting the park ones and maybe bringing a single umbrella for your little one but the rentals are not great for really little kids IMO, they don't lend themselves to falling asleep very easily b/c they're just the hard plastic (but super easy to push around, we actually brought our double umbrella b/c we use it in the airport and thought we'd use it in the park but the rentals are SO much easier to use in the park than an umbrella).
  
  My vote woulde be to bring your LO's stroller and rent a single for the older DS if needed. GL.

  Thanks ladies.  We are using the car seat and travel mate for the airport and I have no desire to bring our stroller.  We are going to be using the bus so that is a factor.  I think getting a nice single for DD to use (and carry our crap) all week delivered to the hotel and renting in the park for DS as needed is a great compromise!

  I would consider just renting a double stroller directly from the Disney park depending on how the vacation is going and energy level for your son. Maybe just do this for one day that you think you'll be walking the most? I remember going through Disney at age 4 with no stroller. He probably won't need it, but it might be a nice break for him too.

  We just went to Disney in October and I rented a double stroller for my 4 yr old and my 9 yr old (she is very petite).  I would not hesitate to do it again in a heartbeat.  We rented from an outside company - the Disney strollers are tiny and super hard plastic - I could not imagine my child sitting in it for any period of time.  I used it primarily to get from one end of the park to the other without having to carry or nag my kids to stay with us.  But the night time was the main reason we got it - by the end of the night my kids were tired from walking all day and this made our eveings much more enjoyable.  I learned this from 2 other friends who rented double strollers for their "older" children also.  I was watching parents who were trying to carry kids or having kids have meltdown because they were tired and I was sooooo glad we had the stroller.  We did not have issues getting the double stroller on the bus and depending on where you stay we were able to take the double stroller on the boat without folding it up.

  I still only have one kiddo, but we went when DS was 4 and we rented a stroller at the parks.  If you are going for multiple days, you can get a multi-day rate and it was really pretty reaosnable.  We were flying there, and then taking the shuttles to and from the park every day and did not want to deal with lugging a stroller around.  Their strollers are heavy duty plastic and have a nice canopy and DS was very comfortable in it.  It was a ton of walking so it was really helpful to have a stroller for him.  At that age, he never rode in a stroller anywhere, but was happy to do so there.

  We went again when he was 6 and he did not use a stroller at all.  He was fine.  So I would rent a stroller from the park, but probably just get a single.  If there are any days you are going late in the evening, or are planning a really long stretch at the park, you may want to have a double, but I think your 6-yr-old would probably be fine without one if you don't feel like dealing with a double.

  I would do the double. When you want to move quickly through crowds and at night on the long walks home, I think you'll be glad.  Almost everyone I hear come back from Disney says to do the double.  I would also rent from an outside company.  Many deliver to your hotel for free.  The Baby Jogger City Mini GT would be great as the fold is easy and the push is good with bigger kids.
