Is anyone else experiencing post-baby hair loss or thinning? Is it ever going to grow back?!

My hair loss is very embarrassing. I haven't noticed thinning but I have never lost this much hair ever. The shower drain must be cleaned every DAY to avoid blockage. Hate it.

I'm shedding like a hairy dog. It started at the same time again as it did after I had DS (right around 4 months PP). I can't remember exactly when it stopped before, but I think it was around 7-8 months PP at the latest. It's more aggravating when I brush my hair after washing it because a ton of hair comes out then. Fun times.

Yeah, I'm losing hair like mad, I find it everyyyyywhere. It almost always ends up in baby's diaper, all over our blankets, in my bra... ugh. I avoid cleaning the drains by sticking my loose hair to the shower wall and then throwing it in the garbage after every shower.

All of this!! Im constantly finding my hair in LOs diapars. And blankets. And fingers. I've always stuck my hair to the shower wall as well

I'm losing a lot of hair too. I lost a bunch post-partum with DS too but it was earlier. My hair is naturally a little thin, it looked a lot better while pregnant. I wish it could have stayed that way.

I am SO glad I'm not alone in this!!! I have a few bald spots on the sides of my head and at the part... not that I had much hair there to begin with. It is just so embarrassing!!!

Losing mine like crazy too, I have to clean the tub drain twice per shower to avoid standing in a half foot of water. So gross.

I have been loosing mine since LO was 12 weeks, and he is almost 6 months now. I haven't found anything yet that helps.. I am still taking prenatals too.

My BFF said this will ease up after 6 months. Any BTDT mom have that experience? I am disgusted by how much hair I'm losing. Tons fall out while washing, then brushing and again blow drying. How I am not bald right now is beyond me!

This started at 3 months last time and didn't go away until I got pregnant with DS2 at 13 months. The new hair is also really annoying as It sticks up everywhere, last time I just dealt with it ( My hair was about shoulder length so it wasn't too bad), but this time I cut my hair really short, mostly because DS1 was finding it all over the house and eating it, which I want to stop so I figure I would remove the temptation, but the added benefit of no baby fine hair growth in the next few months is great.

With both kids my hair starting falling out right around 4 months PP and its ridiculous. But it does eventually slow down and it does grow back because I had like a million little short hairs all over my head when I got pregnant with DD (10 months PP) so it was growing back but it took a while to get going. super annoying looking too

I've had plenty of hair loss, it's slowed down, but continues to fall. The funniest part of opening this thread was the MEN's thinning hair product ad to the side of the thread. Fail..TB…Fail!

My husband has noticed the hair everywhere, but has been trying to be polite about it...

"So, um, have you seemed to notice that there's, um, like a lot of your hair... Everywhere?"

"Yes honey, that's apart of the all inclusive postpartum package."

"They should tell husbands that before they leave the hospital to stop us from putting our feet in our mouths! I thought you were really having some issues!"

I too am losing hair like crazy!! I finally called my stylist to see if she could recommend anything. She got me this new shampoo and conditioner that's supposedly going to help my hair get thicker...she said it won't help the hair loss but will help with regrowth. Whatever. I'll try anything at this point. I'll let you ladies know if it works. I just started using it this week.

my hair is shedding like madness too! my hair is also REALLY dry and brittle and tangles alllll the time now. i read that if you notice thinning to avoid whatever causes you to lose the most hair (brushing, shampooing, ect) as best you can. maybe also try the hair products specifically for hair loss. good luck everyone lol

I HATE it! I am loosing so much hair it is gross. The wall of my shower looks like it just one big wall of hair and I am shedding everywhere. If I were to pull my hand gently over my pony tail right now I would get a big clump of hair...boo

I've noticed that my hair is super dry as well. Do any of y'all recommend a conditioner treatment? Maybe that will help with so much falling out while I brush the mess.

I just cut my hair to a choppy bob so I can skip the blow dry and let it air dry instead. I wouldn't say it is the most flattering style but I do feel better about not aggravating the situation. Of course it is just putting a bandaid on the problem but I'll take anything right now if it means a little relief from the self-consciousness!!

My hair loss is disgusting. It's everywhere!! My pillow case looks like a small animal wrestles on it. I'm very eager for this to be over.
