No ovarian reserve

Hi, I am posting here since I would like to talk about what I am going through....I am new to the bump, and in a few weeks I will start to use the estrogen patches for 2 weeks. I will be having ivf with donated embryos for the first time. At 42, my doctor told me that I don't have any good eggs anymore, and my best option is to use a donor. I am also single (have not found Mr.Right on time) and my time to have children is now. I cannot wait anymore, my clock is ticking! Anyone going through this as well?

    Good luck!! Depending on when your transfer is scheduled, you should join the Hopeful Hearts (February group) or Shimmering Shamrocks (March group).

           Protein S Deficiency, Sjorgen's Syndrome 

    IUI #1-5: BFN
    Laparoscopy & Hysteroscopy: minimal endo, partial septoplasty
    IVF #1: 10R/6M/6F ~ Day 3 ET = BFN
    IVF #2: 14R/9M/5F ~ transfer canceled ~ all embryos arrested at 1-2 cell stage
    IVF #3: 9R/5M/5F ~ 1 frosty!
    IVF #4 (FET #1): BFN

    IVF #5 (DE IVF #1 with Dr. KK protocol): Currently PREGNANT!!!!!!
    Synthroid + Prednisone + Metformin + Baby Aspirin + Supplements Galore = 15+ pills a day
    Lupron + Lovenox + Delestrogen + IVIG + B/W = 2-5 pokes a day
    19R, 17M, 17F - transferred two Grade A blasts 11/16, four frosties!!!
    Beta #1 11/24 (13dpo/8dp5dt) = 367 ~ Beta #2 11/26 (15dpo/10dp5dt) = 709
    Beta #3 11/29 (18dpo/13dp5dt) = 1,997 ~ Beta #4 12/1 (20dpo/15dp5dt) = 3,403

    Welcome. So sorry you got this news. I am looking at donor eggs as well, but my RE said age isn't a factor with donor eggs and if I wanted to wait years to find the perfect donor, I could.

    Yes, that is right, you can wait until you can find the right donor. For me, donated embryos can be fresh or frozen.

    H 43, SA normal.
    TTC #1 since November 2011.
    HSG - both tubes clear.
    Metformin+ Clomid + Prometrium (Ob/Gyn)
    January 2012- Chemical Pregnancy
    June 2012- BFP- Ectopic (5 weeks), Methotrexate
    November 2012- BFP- Miscarriage (5 weeks),D&C(12/14/12)

    December 17, 2012 first apt with RE
    Metformin + Folgard+ Clomid+ Bravelle + TI +Prometrium (RE)
    March 2013- 2 follicles- BFN
    April 2013- 2 follicles- BFN

    Oct 2013, IVF #1- fresh cycle cancelled due to increased progesterone
    ER 11/7/2013- 20 retrieved, 19 mature, 14 fertilized naturally, 3 blasts frozen
    FET #1- 12/6/13, 2 blasts xfered- BFN

    FET #2- Cancelled while sitting in the waiting room... blast didn't survive thaw

    hi!
    i also went through this!
    i don't have problems with overian reserve but my ovaries just produce bad eggs. so as you might see my option is also to find the donor. so i decided not to waste time and find clinic with this option. and now i have my little baby
    if i can somehow help you just say

    Hi, Thank you for the response. Right now I am just worried about the estrogen patches I have to take...all the hormone replacement therapy...Should I be concerned about it? I am scheduled for my transfer in a few weeks, and I have read the side effects of the estrogen patches... I will use donor embryos.

    On the Bump Infertility message board, there will are discussion groups each month for anyone that is going thru a fresh IVF or FET.  If you are transferring in March, the discussion group is called Shimmering Shamrocks (or something with Shamrocks).  February's group is Hopeful Hearts.  

    Good luck to you in this process @MaraleeRG!!  I have so much respect for you having the courage to do this on your own.  You are very brave!!!

    I have a very good friend that did IVF (with donor sperm) on her own when she was 39.  She is a proud mama of a beautiful 4 year old little girl!!

    I am almost 15w pregnant a little girl from adopted embryos! We adopted two batches in "open adoptions" and have relationships with both families. I also have DOR. Embryo adoption has been an incredible experience, but it definitely had it's ups and downs! I have a blog at www.wishingonasnowflake.com that documents our journey.

     2/11/13 - DEmbryo FET #1 Thawed four, sadly two didn't survive. Transferred two beautiful blasts. 
     2/16/13 - First BFP of my life @ 6dp5dt! EDD 10/30/13
     3/27/13 - After beta and u/s hell, no heartbeat ever detected. D&C at 9w1d.

    6/5/13 - Adopted four new embryos that had been frozen for seven years!      
    9/12/13 - DEmbryo FET #2. Thawed and transferred two beautiful blasts
    9/17/13 - BFP @ 5dp6dt! EDD 05/31/14
     9/29/13 - m/c @ 5w1d. :(

    11/19/13 - DEmbryo FET #3. Thawed and transferred one blast from each batch. Wow!
     11/23/13 - BFP @ 4dp6dt! EDD 8/7/13
    Beta #1 @ 13dp6dt - 522  Beta #2 @ 16dp6dt - 1373 
    6w5d ultrasound showed one perfect baby with a beautiful heartbeat of 134bpm!

    Snowflake baby is a girl! 
    Our beautiful Snowflake girl arrived on July 22, 2014!

    i've done only one ivf and it was seccessfull!
    but beffore it i've ttc for about 3 years.
