Well, we finally got on the schedule... even though we had been trying since our first appointment here in IN on December 17th. I'm not happy. My Dr back in MD, who was up to deliver DD1 at 2:28 am, the morning he was headed out of town for his family vacation, was more than happy to schedule me for 38w since I went into labor with DD1 at 38w1d. This Dr in IN won't even schedule me a day before 39w. I'm apparently already measuring HUGE... and his schedule was action packed on my 39w so we got shoved to 39w3d. I'll be preparing my "I told you so" speech for him when we drag him out of bed when I go into labor more than likely somewhere around 37w.
I was hoping to schedule right on or before my due date of May 29th. But it turns out my OB is going on vacation that entire week! So we're scheduled at 39 weeks instead - on May 22nd. He said we could schedule for the week after too if I preferred. Ah, no thanks. Funny thing is, my OB was on vacation over DDs due date as well so she was delivered by another OB.
May 6th! Just got it scheduled yesterday! And I'm pre-registered at the hospital :-) The panic attack I had last night tells me it's all feeling very real!!!
Mine was scheduled for the 7th, but got moved to the 8th, something to do with the hospital OR availability. Although with my DS2 my date got bumped day of due to lots of emergency sections, so I'm not holding my breath.

They did that to me, too, but they bumped me up! I was so prepared to have my section later than scheduled, I was soooo not mentally prepared to go early. This time I'm scheduled for 7:45, I have to be there at 5:30am.
I can't schedule it till March when the May on call schedule goes up, but it will be the week of May 5 th. But I mailed in my registration papers to the hospital this week!!
Not 100%, but it looks like it will be May 26. My sister actually gets married the day before, so we are hoping little miss will hold off and not want to join us before then. I'll either be a HUGE bridesmaid, be in the hospital, or have a brand new baby at the wedding!
Just talked about this yesterday with my doc! We are scheduling for May 5th and he's going to confirm back when the hospital books it. Cinco de Mayo, woo hooo! I think it's very fitting since I've been craving Mexican this entire pregnancy. Lol.
I'll find out at our 32 week ultrasound if and when ill have a c-section. So in about 6 weeks either a c-section or induction will be scheduled. I'm hoping for the induction.
I have finally given in to the csection...looking to schedule for the 12th or 14th of May, since I am due on the 20th. This is all with the fingers crossed that I do not have pre-e again and go at 37 weeks. The later I can go, the more summertime I have off :-)

Anyways, the scheduled date is April 28th.
This might be hospital policy, not necessarily your Ob's fault. Hospitals around here will not schedule you for less than 39w unless medically necessary. It's really much better for the babies to cook as long as possible.
Mine is scheduled for May 12. 38w since I can't go into labor because of prior surgery to my uterus.

I'm due the 27th, so we already talked to the OB and plan to schedule it for 5/20. I'm planning to ask about scheduling at my next appt in a couple of weeks.

I know, I know, American College of Baby baking and Coochie care says so, blah blah blah. I'm still not going to be happy about it. I went elective the first time around to avoid labor, and I'm sure I'm getting the joy of labor this time around to. Yay!
I can only bake a baby for as long as they, and my oven choose to do so. I'm at the mercy of an unruly female body, and a tiny human.
Wow, I'm a little nervous now! I have another doctors appointment on the 27th to schedule my c-section, but when I met with them last week they told me it was going to be around 36 weeks! I have complete previa so I know it is important that I don't go into labour, but I feel like this is very early. My EDD was may 22 so I will be pushed up to end of April! I am going to try and schedule it for 37 weeks if they let me.
