anyone have experience with both medela AND ameda?

in Nurseries and Baby Gear
My insurance covers an ameda double electric pump in full, but the medela doubles there is an additional cost. I only have experience with medela, but am wondering if the Ameda would serve me as well. I'm willing to pay extra if I think its really worth it but I'm looking for some feedback from people with experience.

    I have been reading other reviews as well and looks like some people do have issues with how much they get from the ameda, butI suspect that they might have problems in general with pumping. I know it doesn't work very well for some women. That being said, I had no problems pumping with my first so I am leaning toward going with the ameda after reading this review.

    I used the Medela Symphony while I was in the hospital with DS and the Ameda Purely Yours when we came home.  I saw no difference between the two and the Symphony was even hospital grade.

    I used the Medela PISA, which I liked.  We had a motor issue and my insurance covered both the Medela and Ameda....however the Medela was on backorder for at least a month.  I didn't have the time to wait, so I ordered the Ameda.

    After being used to the Medela, I thought the Ameda did not yield nearly as much supply.  The Purely Yours doesn't have the same letdown function and you have to do it automatically.  Maybe it was a user issue for me and I just never got used to it.  I do know people who loved their Ameda, though.
    BFP #1 - January 2010...m/c at 12 weeks 
    BFP #2 - December 2011, little lady #1 born August 2012
    BFP #3 - August 2013....m/c at 5 weeks 
    BFP #4 - October 2013....little lady #2 born June 2014

    This, with  DD- though I used the Medela Symphony at work (I work in a hospital and have access) and my Ameda at home.
