PSA: Bumbos and seat belts

I always thought the seat belts in the Bumbo were dumb. I have even been using it on the counter without Sully strapped in (never unattended, but still not good). Today he was playing on the floor with his toys and he crawled out of it! I hate to think what could have happened. :((image

    Wow!!! That's impressive that he was able to get out! Thank goodness he didn't try it on the counter. Hugs >:D<

    I have the mama's and papa's one and there is no seat belt but there is a tray that pops on. Well, my little darling can pop the tray off.  @juliedave151 -     how? We have a tray for ours and I had the worst time getting it detached! We stopped using our gumbo seat Novemberish... she started leaning back as far as she could. I was afraid she was going to tip it.

    I've never used straps for anything, either. Not even the high chair. We live on the edge, apparently. 

    That's pretty scary.  Our bumbo doesn't have straps, either, but A's thighs are too tubby for her to ever get out. Plus she's a meatloaf. :)

    My hefty ham is way too big for that thing. It's a two person job to get him out.

    @Thegoodpotato, the bumbo comes with E when I try to lift her out of it. It is always difficult to push the seat back to the floor. :)

    Quote box fail. @ladyblue07 us too; at least she comes by it honestly. Mama's got some drumsticks, too. :)

    M was the same way.... But she can still fit her now skinny thighs in there. :). She went through a rivalry phase where she wanted to use all of A's stuff, and loved to sit in the bumbo at 2.5. :)

    @CDumovich, no he was not strapped in. He always pulls the Bumbo with him, too, when I lift him out. He still managed to wrench his leg under him and push himself out of the seat.
