Piddle Pad?

https://www.cheekymonkey.ca/Piddlepad.htm

Has anyone ever heard of the Piddle Pad or have experience with it?  Also, does anyone know if it would be unsafe to use in a carseat?  I've heard warnings about adding extra things to a carseat, and I wonder if this would be included.

Re: Piddle Pad?

  • I asked our pedi if they were okay to use and she said yes because they are thin and she sits on the pad, it doesn't add bulk to the harness area.

Can't speak to how that particular piddle pad works, I made my own.  Mine worked awesome!  I used cute fabrics and made matching 'wet bags' to put them in when they got soiled.

Definitely saved me from having to take the whole cover off a few times to clean the whole thing.  Lifesavers during long trips when you need the mess cleaned quickly and to continue your trip.

  • We use them and they are awesome. We use them in our sons car seat.

  • We plan to just use puppy pads. They're thin, won't interfere with the car seat & you just toss them if they get soiled.

  • You are not technically supposed to use anything that did not come with the carseat between it and the child. It was not tested with the seat and could interfere with the way the seat was designed to function.   You never know how an extra layer will affect the safety of the child and a lot of times products can change the way the harness sits.  It is of course, always up to the parent if they want to use something or not.  A lot of people use the vinyl training pants instead.
  • Thank you all for the replies! :)

  • It's really not safe to use any sort of aftermarket product
