S/O: Cold...how long?

DS has had a runny nose for over a week now, and coughs occasionally too (but it's mostly the nose issue). The snot is always clear so based solely off of that he shouldn't have an infection right? How long do we let the runny nose continue before we go to the pedi?

Us: Me (27) Hubby (27) Married since 7/24/10

BFP #1: 10/30/2007    DS born 06/20/2008

BFP#2 09/11/2014      DD born 05/01/2015

    DS's first cold lasted 3 weeks. He has another one. I'm crossing my fingers that it doesn't last near as long! It sucks that there's not much you can do for them.

    DS has had a cold for almost 3 weeks.  I finally took him to the pedi yesterday because he hasn't been letting me touch his right ear and he's been running low-grade temps.  Turns out he has an ear infection.  If he wouldn't have had those other symptoms, though, I'm sure my pedi wouldn't have been able to do anything for him.  Like pp said, keep running the humidifier, giving saline drops and using the boogie sucker.

    Colds typically last 10-14 days

    lasted a little over two weeks for us then it turned into an ear infection.
