Home made teething biscuits

I know there was a post about them weeks ago, but LO was no where near ready then. I was looking at the ones in wholesomebabyfood.com and wondering if anyone has made them and how the texture comes out. Were they a choking hazard at all? LO has done well with the one package of mum mums we got in a gift, but I'd rather not spend money on more if I can avoid it.

  • No help here because we use the mum mums but I think it was @blt20051 who has made some using that website!

  • I've made those several times. It's kind of like making biscuits. You have to find that balance of water and flour and the baking time. I don't bake but I got the hang of it after two or three batches. I make them in long strips like mum mums so he can hold them. He gagged the first time or two but then he got the hang of them.

  • I made them, and they sucked. I did the one with rice cereal.

There was no way he could eat them, without choking! It was tough even for me to chew! I followed the recipe to a T.

O really loves mum mums, so I still buy those. I also bought some biscuits by PLUM ORGANICS that he likes.

  • Following. I'd love to make J some that I can eat as well (I have celiac) plus we haven't tried any eggs or oil here yet...
  • Oh I should add I didn't use rice cereal.  I used oatmeal.
