Northern Ladies

I keep forgetting to post this letter from my H's grandfather. He's originally from Canada, though he's lived in OK for over 60 years now. He'll be 90 in a couple of weeks.

He wrote this and sent it with a newspaper article he cut out, when we still expected to be moving to MN. The article was about how to survive such cold temps on a regular basis. I just love this letter so much; I've been dying to share it somewhere but don't want to embarrass him on FB. (Yes, 90yo Grandpa is on FB.)

It reads:

If this Minnesota move comes off as planned, you'll need my, and another's advice on how to cope.

Admittedly the first year's winter will be a bit challenging, but then will come glorious springtime, magnificent summer, and you'll say, "is this heaven or what."

Then fall - and you'll wonder how even God could dream up, conjure up, such magnificent colors.

Our problem here is that it is below freezing one day, above the next - and humid - and we have trouble adjusting our minds and bodies to the sudden changes. This morning it was 7, by 3 to be 41.

If you're outdoorzee, we may never see you again. Ha Ha.

Love to all 4
Grandpa

Isn't that the sweetest?? I just love him for sending handwritten letters. What a treasure.
