Sike. Does anyone else's look like this still? Make me feel better. Furniture should be coming soon (got the crib & mattress last night), so I'm hoping that spurs the progress.
Honey, we haven't even moved into the house we will be living in. Stuck at the IL's while we wait for the weather to warm up enough that the electrician can have the power shut off at the house for a couple days without freezing everything. It may be a while...
I took all the linens off the bed, a lamps out etc and then??? My cousin said they wanted to come down for the weekend so, sheets back on bed. Lighting back in place... At least there's a crib in the box in there?
Yup, ours has some furniture, but there's a lot of stuff that's been thrown in there.
Also, someone asked what the colors of the nursery would be. Umm....whatever random stuff I registered for. I don't think LO is going to care if it matches.
Mines a disaster. Cleaned out the closet and moved out some of the furniture (nursery is the old guest bedroom) only to decide we're going to paint the office. So now the nursery is currently housing the office furniture. Plus I never finished cleaning it out so basically it looks like it's about to explode.
Ours had been painted and still has the crib in there from dd2 we've just moved her into dd1s bedroom with bunk beds..fun! But we haven't put crib "back together" still in toddler state lol so were almost in the same boat
Our room was cleared out of everything but the crib- and it all moved into the dining room. Which now looks like a disaster area. Then my fam/friends covered the crib and the floors with drop cloths to paint the walls/ceiling. This started 3 weeks ago.
None of the dining room clutter has moved an inch, the room is still covered with drop cloths and even has painters tape everywhere to block off the moulding. In theory there needs to be one more coat of paint on the ceiling and touch ups on the walls. This will happen.... Whenever it happens. Until then, drop cloths and painters tape are the primary nursery decorations.
Normally I'd be all over finishing the paint or at least moving the dining room clutter but... bed rest. And DH is being super lazy about helping with anything nursery related. I've decided I have two options at this point. I can freak out and force DH to do nursery stuff or I can ignore the issue and assume that at some point it will either go away or baby will arrive and relieve me of bed rest so I can do it myself.
It's just too much effort to make DH do anything but what's necessary to keep the house running while I'm on bed rest... So option two it is. Assume it'll go away... Or that it won't and I can do it once baby has arrived. I'm finding it hard to care at all once I accepted that I couldn't do it myself.

We've made SOME progress thank goodness! My husband has primed the walls and we are picking a paint color this weekend. Nursery furniture is in, but still in boxes.
Bedding is on the way. Glad to know I'm not the only one who isn't done! My MIL thinks we are SO behind.
So happy to see that someone else has done as much as us. My room has crap all over the place. Our walls are the same shade of green @talkthewholetime.
Currently watching hubby clear out the nursery priming, painting and bead boarding next weekend, chair rail the next then will be time for furniture & wall decals! My mom is making the nursery bedding so hoping that gets done by April
We bought and set up the crib. DH is sanding his childhood furniture today and we are painting it tomorrow. After that we will paint the walls. I have no idea how long it will take us to get that far.
We haven't moved in to the new place we will be living when she is born and she isn't getting a nursery. We don't even have a piece of furniture for her to sleep in yet
We got nothin'. I have vague plans in my mind to get the Rock n' Play out of the attic to bring into our room, and to make some space in DD's drawers and closet for baby clothes. DD2 won't have her own room in this house, and we'll probably move about a year after she's born.

We cleared out as much as we could today, though unfortunately, that means piles of stuff to be dealt with in other rooms. There's still an old desk of DH's in there that we are going to be storing at the in-laws but we're going to wait for the snow to be gone before dealing with transporting that.
We moved what few baby things we do have up to the room and all of the crib parts are out of the box, lined up along the wall. Next weekend is a long weekend for us here so the plan is to assemble it then.
After all that, we won't be able to do anything until we get more furniture.
We don't have any furniture yet.. And we are still finishing putting the dry wall up... On the to do list: Primer Paint Put on base boards Paint trim(windows/door) Put in carpet And then finally get furniture and decorate
We are working on purchasing a home and moving in before I can even think about the nursery. I am delaying buying anything until that happens, simply because I don't want to have to pack and move it. Right now our best case timeline looks like we'd be moving mid-March, more likely early April. It's cutting it close, but I am determined to get out of apartment life.
We're pretty far along with our nursery, but all the stuff that was piled in the room before we started? Yeah, that's still kind of everywhere else in the house. Combined with main floor bathroom reno dust and tools in my dining room ... *sigh*
But I did take 2 bags of used clothes to the donation place today! One small step to emptying the giant toilet box of junk sitting in my upstairs hallway. (The toilet box is from when we re-did our upstairs bathroom in September 2012, it lived in what is now the nursery until this January.)
Our nursery is still set up as the guest room and anything we do have for baby is piled on the bed. We are finishing our attic, then moving the office up there and the guest room into the office. The good news is DH is almost finished with the attic to the point we can move stuff up there. The bad news is that the office and the guest room look like a tornado hit it so we have to move stuff and go through stuff before we can even start setting up the nursery.
Ours is still my stepsons bedroom. Next weekend or the following weekend we'll be moving all his stuff to the room in the basement. We're making it really nice down there for him. I think he's looking forward to it. After we get all that moved we'll be able to get in there clean it really good, paint it, and have it all ready for when my parents order the crib and my inlaws order the changing table!
Haven't even got furniture yet... My parents said they would buy the crib but as of yet no word on when...
I don't have a nursery area just the corner of my bedroom for now till I move out of the inlaws
This, except I'll do you one better - we can't even fit a crib in here so both boys will be sleeping in RNPs until we move. Looking at houses tomorrow, hope one of them is "The One"!
Yep! Ours is the currently the defunct guest room. Crib and glider are in, picking up tomorrow. Also will paint this week. But right now...there's a bunch of stuff we bought, and a deflated air mattress.
We've emptied out our spare room which will be the nursery. We are trying to sell our house and buy a bigger one but will go ahead and paint nursery gray at this house if no offers in the next couple weeks. Haven't even bought furniture or bedding! You are not alone! I have ordered bedding swatch samples. Does that count for anything. ?
A couple weeks ago I made a ton of progress cleaning out our guest room/nursery. I just went in there today and noticed it's become a bit of a dumping ground again. Next weekend I'm going to make a push for my husband to get the bed into storage and my MIL to come pick up her antique dresser we've been using in there. If there's no where to set stuff I'm hoping junk will stay away!
Yup! That's pretty much my nursery! That plus a bunch of boxes full of NBR things...I have a lot to do, but it will get done...eventually. You are not alone!
