childcare --- am I the only crazy who hasn't firmed that up yet?!

am a single ftm due 2/16-- planning on taking 10-12 wks off. with all the other planning , work and plain old fatigue-- I've kinda dropped the ball on childcare -- going to buckle down now/-( looked at a local daycare but w my occasional late work hours I think I'll need a nanny or someone who watches a few kids in their home) - does everyone have this figured out already?!! I'm going to poke a little in my local board for local mommy group suggestions ... feel like my brain is maxed out these days !!

    We know the daycsre we want to use. (Because of price, location, and reviews)-and we were able to get put on 'the list' before Christmas. Unfortunately, as of right now, they won't have an infant opening until Halloween. So we don't have any care lined up. Luckily, I work part time (at 2 places) and both have expressed a willingness to work with me. DH works 12 hour rotating swing shifts, so he is off 3 or 4 days a week: my employers are going to let me work when he is off until we are able to get into our daycare.

    05/2013 BFP on a Letrozole (Femara)/trigger!

    Cerclage, Procardia, Makena, GD (with insulin), MBR, and we made it!

     the daycare near my job does have openings and i did really like it..maybe just have to rely on sister or something for those occasional late nights...
    and i do have some nanny leads, just haven't really started yet...so much to think about !

    We're still on the waitlist at our daycare so I plan to post a job for a nanny on care.com as soon we get home from the hospital. We are in a tricky situation because we need part time care and are on a budget.

    I had daycare lined up and planned out, but it fell through last month!  So I'm in a similar boat.  I have until April to get something new worked out.  I'm trying not to panic about it.

    Yeah, I'd be getting on this quickly. Child care decisions should not be made quickly. Good ones are so hard to find. Good luck to you.
