Well I won't be eating chicken cheesesteaks...

Again. Ever. Mostly lurker here, but just woke up feeling like I was fighting back molton lava in my throat. Tried to prop myself up with pillows, but eventually was forced to head for the toilet where I puked my guts out.

I'm used to the acid reflux cause I had it with DS1, but wanted to see if anyone else has thrown up as a result? That is new to me. DS1 weirdly has thrown up twice this week, so I'm hoping there is no connection there... But getting suspicious.

  • Yes, multiple times. It sucks!

  • Ugh yeah it does. I'm thinking I might actually have a stomach bug cause I still feel awful and crampy.

  • Yes. Reflux was the source of a good portion of my morning sickness in 1st tri. I have heartburn issues now but nothing that bad anymore, thank goodness.

I'm sorry you still don't feel well, hope it subsides soon!

  • Yup.

I didnt puke all of first tri. I have several times since near the end of second tri. Tons of heartburn, too. Fun times.

  • Same here. I've never had heartburn/acid reflux before. Now I get it when I lay down or recline back at all. In the morning if I don't eat right away then I feel sick. It definitely stinks and I hope you feel better soon!
  • I can totally relate. Reflux is the worst!

That actually sounds just like the stomach bug I had last week. Hope it's not that for you and that you feel better soon! If it is, just try your best to stay hydrated.

  • Oh that is the worst. I have also had some terrible heartburn, weirdest thing ever that helped me? A teaspoon of yellow mustard, burns while you swallow it but then it brings immediate relief! (Or at least it does for me) A friend of mine recommended this to me during my first pregnancy and I am so grateful.

Also, I need to go back to bed because I read this thread title as "no more chicken cheesecakes" and when you said "tried to prop myself" I definitely saw "tried to poop myself".

  • I got a nasty bout of food poisoning when I was 9 months pregnant with DS1. I told my husband that's how I know he'll always love me, because despite how disgusting everything was about that day, he just held my hair back and told me how much he loved me.

  • Yes. And it felt exactly as you described. And puked my guts up. The last occasion was after lots of Super Bowl snacking.

  • Yup. Wake up after eating deliciousness with feeling of vomit rising in throat. About half the time it results in actually vomiting.
  • Thanks, ladies. I didn't realize it resulted in vomit so often! I was thinking stomach bug since I've felt kind of crampy and still have no desire to eat. I may be traumatized :-/

I'm feeling a little better now, though, since I put my SO on baby duty and I'm lying in bed drinking water all day. If only lying in bed were as restful as comfortable as it used to be... Sigh. 15 weeks to go...

  • I am the only one that read that as "chicken cheesecake"????
HB and AR are no fun. I seem to have it even worse the first month or two after pregnany.
