  Overall I think it was ambitious with the giant floating sets, and I think the story did flow well as a history of the country. It is a cleaned up rainbows and kittens version of Russia's history but that's to be expected.

  My DH swears the announcers called those dancers "Peace Blobs."

  I'm still watching them walk out on the stage...
  
  USA just came out. I liked their sweaters.
  I like hearing the ladies accent when she announces the counties.

  I think the US won the ugly sweater contest! Seriously, if I saw that sweater at Good Will I would buy it for an ugly sweater party. I would never think an Olympian wore it.
  
  On a side note, DH told me he has a man crush on Shaun White.

  I thought the projection onto the floor was neat and made some neat visual effects. Anna Netrebko was fantastic and her dress rocked!

  I agree on the ugly sweater thing. USA was completely plastered all over the Olympians. I thought we could have had a better, lil more subtle, outfit!

  I was only half paying attention when the came out so I missed that! At first they looked like jellyfish in the ocean.

  I felt like I was watching the hunger games. I kept thinking someone was going to say "and may the odds be ever in your favor." At any point in time.
  I LOVED the ballet, and the colorful stuff that preceded it. The floor graphics were pretty bomb too.
