Haha! My son thinks the baby is going to crawl up my throat and come out of my mouth. Um, okay. I hope I live through that. But he says I shouldn't worry.. He will catch the baby so it doesn't hit the floor. Alrighty then.
Oh goodness! Lol! We are learning non-fiction right now in 2nd grade and of course the words "male fertilizes..." has been used quite a few times in the materials that are used. The I get "What does that mean?" It's been a delicate few weeks!
Too cute. When I told my nephews there was a baby in my belly, my husband asked them how the baby got in there. The 3 year old yelled "She ate it!" and when asked how the baby was going to come out, he giggled and said, "she's gonna poop it out".
When I asked my son how the baby was going to come out, he also said, "out of your mouth!" At this point that actually seems like it might be easier! He's only 2.5, so I'm in no hurry to correct him.
When I was pg with ds, my youngest sister, whose only experience with birth was my mom's shih tzu puppies, told me she had a dream that I'd had the baby and "his eyes were already open!" She was 9. I felt bad that I laughed so hard...
My K kids have asked a few questions that I'm not sure how to answer... (Like how is the baby gonna come out and how did the baby get in there). The cuteness today though... "Your belly is getting bigger!" And "since the baby has been in there it's been not very usual and I like it!" Haha!!
Is it a boy baby or a girl? Does it talk? What does it eat? Can I see it? Does it hurt your belly? Is it kicking you? Can I hold it? You should name it_____ or _____ or.. Your belly is HUGE.
I get these from high school freshmen, except the talking one. Made me laugh.
Adorable! DS asks almost every day if the baby can come out yet. The other day after I told him not for a few more months he looked at me for a second and then said, "But there's no way out. Then he studied me for a moment more and said. "Your mouth is a way out..." He will now happily tell people that the baby is going to come out of my mouth. I tried to explain how the baby will be delivered via C/S in the simplest, child friendly terms, but her prefers the mouth route.
I love that your DS used "scurry". He must have some good vocab role models!
My dd2 told me that her brother's coming out of my buhgina. oh. well then. hum. I think i'll be having a talk w/ Big sister about this whole 'buhgina' business.
My 4 year old got his doctor kit out and told me to open my mouth really wide so he could look down my throat to see the baby he's also named her magenta or princess jasmine.... Sorry kid. You don't get naming rights
Norah asks to "see new baby?" And will then close one eye and press the other to my belly button. She has renamed it my "baby button" but hers and daddy's are still belly buttons. She also told me "uh oh! New baby stuck!"

Oh man I love the things that come out of kids heads! My DS says that I ate the baby and that's how it got into my belly. And every time I have a dr appt he asks if the dr is going to cut the baby out. Yes I am having a csection, but I've never explained this to DS.
Oh and DS walked into the bathroom the other night when I was getting out of the shower and burst out laughing, said "mommy ate a huge baby." Must remember to lock bathroom door from now on.

In a desperate attempt to keep the 3 yo I was babysitting from fighting with his sisters i pulled him on my lap and let him look at pictures on my phone, mostly of my dog and my sisters dog - then one of my ultrasound pictures showed up. He asked what it was and i told him it was a picture of the baby in my tummy. He then patted my belly and said "hi baby"

DS keeps asking if Dean is coming to his birthday party (next weekend). I guess in a way he sort of is?
