How often do you bathe your LO? I am confused because I read things that say to do it infrequently because it dries out the skin, which is what I've been doing (every 5 days probably), and then I read things that say to do it daily. What works for you??
Also any recommendations at all for lotions, creams, soaps etc. are appreciated. My DD has had some mild eczema since birth, but especially with this winter in the northeast, it just seems to be getting worse now. Thanks!

Re: Moms of LOs with eczema
With this nasty weather, I'm in MI so I feel ya, I've been using aquaphor. I use it for my skin too. I try to avoid her skin being exposed with these cold days. Her poor face just looks terrible the morning after errands.
Someone on a different board suggested about 2 times a week for baths. I had been doing it 3-4 and that was probably one of the causes of why his skin was so dry. My son is young though. With a toddler, since they get into things and what not, I would do probably every other day maybe? If the skin is still dry then maybe cut it down some.
We also have a humidifier on all night in his room.
what worked the best for us was oatmeal baths. you can buy it in packets, but it's cheaper to just grind up rolled oats really fine (or use oat flour)-- put 1/2 cup or so in, until the water is cloudy looking. it cleared up DS's scaly patches and it's cheap!
