I am on day 10 of my period. I am getting it out stat. I always had heavy periods but this is just ridiculous. I absolutely hate hormonal birth control though, so I guess it's back to condoms. Anyone else thinking of ditching it? What are you going to use for BC if you are preventing?

No, got the IUD shortly after my 6 week checkup. I already had my first post partum period before that also.

Well it's worth it to stick it out if you want zero periods in my opinion. You won't bleed that long ever again. After you're done then you may spot here and there and then have no periods it's wonderful!

When did you have it put in??

I was so close to having mine removed because I was bleeding all the fricken time. I waited until after the 3rd month to see if it would stop like my doc said and it did.

Is it the Paragard? How many periods have you had since getting it? I had used it before I had DD and yea the first 3 periods were horrendous but after that they went back to being completely normal. So maybe it will get better? I'm like you, and can't use hormonal birth control, so the IUD is really my only option.

If you have the mirena my period just got better this month, it was rough Nov/Dec this month it was short light and I'm glad I waited it out.

I love my Mirena so far and have only had one real period in 3 months. Have you spoken with your doctor about your issues?

We use condoms but that's because I had issues with iud before and I felt like the mini pill was messing with my supply. As soon as I'm done nursing I'm going to hop back on the pill.

I have paraguard. I have not talked about it with my doc yet. I was supposed to get my apt reminder for my annual in Dec. and I never did. Guess I should make that appointment. This has been about cycle 6 or maybe 7. This was by far my heaviest period, so it doesn't seem like it's getting better but worse. Before this, I was on seasonique because I had very painful periods but I didn't like how it messed with my cycle. On the flip side, I like knowing when my period is going to come. Decisions...
