New to MD need Pediatricians recommendations in Harford County

Hello ladies! Taking a chance here and and asking for recommendations for Pediatricians in Harford County around the Bel Air/Abingdon area. I'm currently 6 1/2 months pregnant and i'm starting my search for one but am having a hard time since I'm not familiar with the area. I moved here from Pennsylvania about 2 years ago and have no clue who is good. I live in Perryville but would like to keep all my Doctors in the same area associated with Upper Chesapeake since my primary care doctor is there. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated thanks!

Re: New to MD need Pediatricians recommendations in Harford County

  • I live in Bel Air and have an 8-year-old.  I highly recommend Pediatric Partners, which is @ Hickory and the Rte 1 bypass.  DS sees Dr. Lomonico, who is wonderful.  We have seen the other docs for sick visits and would highly recommend Dr. Seymour or Dr. Henning in the same practice as well.  Several of our friends go to them and everyone is happy with the practice overall.  There was one Dr. who we did not care for, but she seems to be gone now.

Also, a few people that I know go to Bright Oaks, which is right off of 924.  I don't have any experience with them, but I have heard good things and I think they have the longest office hours of anyone in the area.

When DS was born, we started with Dr. Wax, who was in Forest Hill.  He was a sole practitioner at the time, but now he has paired up with another Dr. and I am not sure where his office is.  I do know he is still in the area.  Anyway, I cannot stress strongly enough that I would never, ever recommend that anyone go to him.  He was so far off on his diagnosis of our infant more than once, and I know someone else who had a horrible experience with him as well.

    HTH!

  • Thanks so much! I will look into Pediatric Partners. I am scheduled for a meet and greet with Bright Oaks in a few weeks. You've been a big help!
  • We also go to Ped Partners and see Dr Seymour, though we've seen others for various things along the way. I like that they have evening and Saturday sick appointments as long as you don't mind seeing someone who isn't your primary. DS has a couple issues and the docs were happy to refer us to a specialist to be proactive rather than waiting forever and trying to figure it out. I don't mind when a doctor doesn't know all the answers, as long as they're willing to pass us off to someone who does!
