Follicle question

I had u/s today, follicles were 19.5, 19.5, 24.5 and a couple small ones. Trigger shot tonight, iui sunday. From what dr and otehrs have said these are good numbers, this is my first round so I am just learning. Do those sound ok?
TTC Since January 2012

Testing began November 2013- all normal, classified unexplained infertility

Jan 2014/Feb 2014 First round of Clomid
2/6/14- U/S Shows 2 19.5 follicles, 1 24
2/8/14- IUI #1

Re: Follicle question

  • Those numbers are really good. I was told that even after the trigger shot your follicles will still continue to grown 1-2mm a day. Is your doctor going to be open to do the IUI on Sunday? When that happened to use we had to do it the old fashioned way because the office wasn't open on Sundays. Best of luck. Fingers crossed!!!!

  • The 24 seems a little big but they were probably wanting the 19s to get mature. I don't really know what the cut off is for them being too big. But sounds like you have a good chance. Good luck!

  • Those sound good to me. My RE will trigger anything between 18 and 22.

I don't know how successful people have been with a follie of 24.5 (which will get bigger after the trigger) but it's great that you also have the two smaller ones. Maybe someone else on this board has experience with larger follies.
