No more baby carrier

So I'm a little sad. T's car seat baby carrier goes up to 30 inches. We had his 9 month appointment today and he's just shy of 30 inches tall so it's about time to get a convertible car seat. I'm sad because I love being able to quickly put him in and out of the car even if he's sleeping. I'm also sad because it makes me feel like he's growing up and not a little baby anymore. Anyways, if anyone has a suggestion for a convertible car seat that is good for tall babies/toddlers, please let me know. T' has always been in the 95th percentile so I feel like this is something I need to think about for the future. Thank you!!!

  • For taller babies:

    Chicco Nextfit
    Graco Size4Me
    Safety 1st Advance Air
    Diono Radian

Here are the shell heights, you want to go with a bigger one for a tall baby.

If you download the Cartwheel App from Target right now you can get the first 3 I mentioned 20% off right now. :)

  • I just put LO in her Britax convertable today. It was just too tight her old one. I am too sad that she no longer feels like she is a baby either. I listed her old carseat and its already got a buyer. Makes me sad that she is growing so quickly.

  • DD has been in 65ish% for height.  We have a Britax Roundabout that seems pretty good for her height.  I miss little baby status too.

  • I have a tall baby and we have the Maxi Cosi Pria 70. It's super comfy and R loves it. It's quite big so you need a decent amount of space. Our second seat is a safety first that we put in my moms smaller Jeep.
  • We have a tall guy too and chose the Chicci Nextfit for it's height allowance. I have been using it for a couple months now and would recommend it.
  • Chicco Nextfit is a very nice, well made seat that is good for tall babies, and will last to 40 lbs rear facing, 65 lbs front facing. It's usually $279, but Target has a great sale right now. I spent way too much time researching carseats, and ended up with the Nextfit. Diono Radian would also be a very good choice.
