We've currently got a boba 3g. It's ok, but it rubs under my arms. From what I've seen, the ergobaby line has longer padded straps than boba.
I think I've narrowed it down to two of the ergobaby options, but not sure which will be cooler for the summertime. We spend a lot of time walking and hiking at the park, visiting the zoo, that sort of thing.
Which is going to be cooler, the Performance with it's mesh panels or the Stowaway/Travel with the thin fabric.
The price difference is fairly minimal between the two, so that's not an issue (though I think they're both a bit overpriced lol).
Ring slings are great but not my first choice for long term wearing which is what it sounds like you are looking for. How old is your baby? If you are approaching toddlerhood, you might want to consider a larger bodied carrier as the ergo (all models) are on the small side.
If strap length is a concern, I'd really suggesting trying before you buy to see what fits you best. The stowaway is really thin fabric so not particularly supportive - good if you need super compact but again not my first choice for a one and only carrier. The padding will be very minimal too.
Another option would be the Kinderpack with mesh. It's available in plus size straps with adjusters so you can get a more custom fit. The standard KP is also larger than the ergo so works better for a bigger baby/toddler.
There's one group, but it's a closed group on facebook. Also, I'm not sure I really want to get involved with a group, I'm not good with in-person social interaction.
I think we're going to go with one of the mesh kinderpacks once I've got the money saved up for it. We're not doing much outdoors in the winter weather anyways.
The boba we've got is ok if I don't have to wear it for very long. It's fine for grocery shopping or cleaning house.
