Dress for Maternity Pics

Because I am bored and don't feel like working today! :-p  I want a dress like this:

But I can't find anything like this.  This is similar, so what do you ladies think of this one?

Is jersey typically flattering or unflattering?

Re: Dress for Maternity Pics

  • I like the first one the best but I do like them both.  I'm not sure about jersey.....let me know what you find though, I'm curious to see what others will be wearing for their photo shoots.

  • They're both cute in theory. But I gotta tell you, I would steer very far away from anything strapless while pregnant. I don't know what your chest is like, but there's no way mine would hold up a dress like that.

  • I do like how loose fitting and flowy the first one looks, second one seems like it's a bit more clingy? They're both very pretty though, I think either would look great in photos. I think maybe it could come down to the setting of your photos?

As for fabric, I'm not really sure. I think any 'flattering' look could be a combination of fabric and cut, not just one or the other.

It’s not that I don’t like you, it’s that I don’t know you. Stranger Danger.
  • Looks like a typical maxi dress to me. I lived in my black one in Florida and plan to do the same next week when we go back. Mines from forever 21. I think I found it for 12 bucks.
  • I like the first one, but can't find it anywhere unfortunately :-(

And I don't have to worry about holding up a strapless dress.  My boobs aren't that big and have decided they don't want to grow any lol.  :-p

Hate to be the one to tell you this but jersey is unflattering. It shows every panty line & cellulite dimple. Maybe you are a special snowflake who doesn't have cellulite & doesn't need to wear panties? If so, I stand corrected.

ETA: Now if you can get that dress in black, you're probably fine.

Yea that is what I was afraid of!  I wish I was that special snowflake, but alas I am definitely not!
  • I actually love the second. Love. I love the color and everything

    It's a BOY

  • @motoLyn That is adorable!  I would definitely need to wear something underneath that though!
  • @sparklingdiamond FOUND IT you're welcome :)
