Do you guys have a daily schedule that you typically follow or us everyday all of the place?

If so, what's your schedule? What do you try to do or get done every day?

Re: Daily schedule?

  • Wake at nine, eat at 10, go to a music class or playdate. If none scheduled, sit on couch like blobs. Lunch at 1:30. Nap at 2. Dinner at 7. Nothing interesting in between. Yeah, my life is depressing.

  • We have a general pattern to our days.  It's tough because DD2's schedule is still very variable, but she's getting there.

I try to take the girls out of the house 2-3 mornings a week.  DD2 is starting to take her nap at 10:30ish, right when we usually go out to play group, so that is throwing a wrench in things.

Afternoons are pretty consistent.  Lunch at home around 1.  Head upstairs to play with toys.  The girls both settle down for naps between 2:30 and 3:30, which has been a delightful break for me.  They wake up around 5:30.

Nights  DH has class 3x a week.  He leaves while the girls are napping and doesn't get home till 8:30 or 9.  Dinnertime is usually around 7 whether he's here or not.

After dinner, playroom time until DD2 gets tired around 8 or 8:30.  I put her to bed while DD1 watches a show.

DH, DD1 and I go up to our room around 9 or 9:30.  We read and settle down.  When DD1 is ready for bed, we tuck her in in her bed.

  • Both kids are usually up before 7:00, but lately it's been after 8:00 because they have been sick and not sleeping well.

We are generally out of the house 3-4 mornings a week, so it's hard to do any schedule. We used to have a "stay home" schedule, but we rarely stay home anymore.

If we ARE at home, we do snack/lunch around 10:30, nap 11:00-2:00 (or something around that timeframe). Before nap, he plays with his toys or sometimes we watch tv. After nap, there is usually a snack, sometimes tv, and more playing.

If we go out for the morning or day, I try to be home by 11:30 or noon, eat lunch, then put them down for naps. If we will be out longer, we eat lunch before we get home and he goes straight to bed when we get home.

Dinner is usually at 5:30 or 6:00, then some play time before he gets his pjs on at 7:30. Then DH reads to him and I put him to bed at 8:00.

  • Depends on who's staying home with me, who's going to DC, if DH is working, and if we have any plans that day.

If I'm flying solo with all 3 kiddos, it looks like this:

    Wake up between 6:30 - 7
    Breakfast/get dressed until 7:30 - 8:00
Feed Baby Boy while the girls play 8:00 - 9:00
    Go play outside/run errands/whatever 9:00 - 10:30
Baby Boy's nap: 10:30 - 11:00 (yeah. short naps blow)
I prep lunch during his nap while the girls play
    Lunch is at around 11:30 - 12:00
Nap time is usually 1:00 - 2:30 (during which time I prep dinner)
Grumpy McGrumperson until 3-ish, then snack.
Depending when Baby Boy takes his second nap, we might attend more errands. If not, it's just more playtime for the girls.
    Dinner is at around 5:45
    Bath time at 7
    Bedtime snack while watching TV
    In bed at 8
