Update: Wheezing.

Ok my kid has had a horrible cough since Saturday. Snotty nose, the works basically.
I've been sitting in the steamy bathroom with her, humidifier, etc.
Tonight she started wheezing. Would y'all bring her in to er tonight or wait until first thing in the morning for doctor's office to open??
I'm so at a loss! I wish she could tell me certain things!

UPDATE:
Went to pedi this morning. It is RSV

My kid can't catch a break!
We were prescribed breathing treatment meds and to come back if breathing gets labored. Thanks for all of your thoughts!

Sounds like RSV. My LO got bad fast. Downside to ER is exposure to more things while sick, like the flu. Wheezing is scary though. Does your pedi have a after hours line to call and ask?

Argh! Thanks guys! She doesn't seem to have trouble breathing, or we'd be in ER very quickly.
I have asthma as well, but I also know it can get bad quickly.
I hope it isn't RSV

I'm glad you called! I hope LO did ok through the night. I will be watching for any more updates.

My LO had it last week, and ended up needing a nebulizer. He woke up several times in the middle of the night gasping for air. It was so so scary. But, he's all better now! Praying for good news today and quick healing!

Making an appointment as soon as the office opens. She did ok through the night.
She has pursed lips and is breathing heavy now (still sleeping), so I'm glad it's morning and I can watch her to be sure.

Thanks for the update! I'm sorry she's sick, but glad there is a treatable diagnosis. I know it's hard to watch your baby with the nebulizer, but it truly does help. ::hugs:: mama
