Contractions/diarrhea

Having both... Lovely, right? Just started timing about 20 minutes ago... Every 4-7 minutes lasting from 30 seconds to just under a minute. I know this sounds insane, but it's hard for me to tell what's a contraction and what is cramping as I am experiencing diarrhea... Advice here? Feel silly asking since this is my third. Thanks in advance... Planning to time for at least another hour if I can and seeing where this goes for now.

I wouldn't think that cramps from diarrhea would be at regular intervals, so if they're coming at regular times, sounds like contractions! Good luck if this is your baby's birthday!

    Definitely coming in waves, some every 2 minutes, some every 7. I can feel a tightening, it wraps around my lower back and down into my lower abdomen before subsiding a little .Agreed, going to try to stay put for a bit and see how it goes, although these feel a little stronger in the last 10 minutes or so.

    I think you're in labor. Keep timing. And get your bag ready! Did your dr tell you how far apart your contractions should be before you call or head to L&D?

    Not specifically, but figure if I am still feeling,this way or if things intensified in a hour, it's a no-brainer, ya know? With the fist two my water broke so it was easy... This little bugger had to be my odd ball :)

    My water broke with my first too, and my contractions with my second were sporadic like that.  I decided to take a nap when my son did and then started walking after, they instantly got consistent and stronger.  When I had to stop what I was doing to breathe through them we headed in.
