I have the american chop suey in the crockpot you posted a bit ago!!  Just waiting to add my noodles. It smells so good!  I left out the bacon, too.  And will grate some cheese for H to use, but I won't. I can't wait to try it!

Whatcha all having?

  • I think grilled salmon and asparagus.

    That sounds good @chapter79

Was really easy to make, and smells good :)

  • We're having mustard glazed pork chops, roasted brussel sprouts, and mashed sweet potato.  I'm pumped!
  • @Chapter79 Did you try it yet? What's the verdict? I thought it was really good considering how easy it was to make. The only thing I'm going to change for next time is to make it with flavored tomatoes, like a basil and garlic or something. I think it'll give it a little extra kick but I liked it plain, too.

We enjoyed it!!  I said the same exact thing- next time I would use the flavored tomatoes, or maybe just add a teeny oregano or italian seasoning :)  I will definitely make it again- we both loved it!  H had two bowls :)   I used whole wheat noodles in there.  Made a TON so H gets to bring some to work tomorrow.

I used hidden veggie rotini pasta and it turned out well, too. I thought they'd be easier to for Alexander to stab with a fork but mister picky would only try one bite and then said "No way, Mama." This kid and food. Ugh.
