Sweet big kid moment this morning

My oldest is having a tough week.  Not sure what's going on, mommy gut says he's getting sick but no real symptoms yet :-(  Anyway, he climbed in bed with me this morning and at one point, his foot was pressed up against my belly while he slept.  It was so cool to lay there and feel his big ol 6 yr old foot on the outside and baby girl pushing against it on the inside.  Made me all teary eyed.

  • I love that! I've gotta say, one of the things I'm most excited about is to see DS be a big brother to an outside baby, because he's been so sweet and excited about our inside baby :) Thanks for sharing!

  • That is sweet. I tear up about this kind of thing with my five year old too. She had a rough day yesterday including mystery symptoms and waking in the night, but is not generally forthcoming about what's bothering her. I figured out in the middle of the night that she is having some regression/separation anxiety - LO is due this week. I have plans for extra DD time in the next few days. I hope your little guy feels better soon. :)

I have been wondering if he's getting anxious about the baby.  I asked him this morning how he felt about me having another baby- was he sad or scared about it?  He looked at me like I had 2 heads and then I felt guilty for planting the idea in his head!  I picked him up early from school today and we're having some down time before we pick up sister from daycare.  I taught him how to make a bowl of cereal and he thought that was the coolest thing ever- ha!  Hope you and DD figure it out... funny thing is, I was more worried about DD adjusting than him... never what you expect lol.
