Just looking for some input on gliders. I don't like the gliders that show wood.

Love the Newco Premium Rosie glider from BRU, but have read mixed reviews. Has anyone bought the Newco or similar glider?

We have one of the Newcos; it's been so long now I can't tell you which one. I LOVE it. LOVE. I don't think I can express my feelings for this chair enough. We got it before DS1 was born (so it's about 3 years old now), and it's held up very well. We were originally going to get one of the chenille covers, but they had a return/floor model on steep discount when we went to buy, so we got the "velvet" cover it already had in a chocolate brown. It's very easy to spot clean and doesn't stain easily.

I have passed out in this chair more times than I can count; especially when DS1 was tiny and was waking up every 45 minutes to eat. Totally worth the $. I can't comment on the matching ottoman. We already had a stationary ottoman at home and just use that. But I do recommend having somewhere to put your feet up.

Sorry, I have no experience with the Newco. I got the Graham glider from West Elm during one of their 30% off sales and love it.

They had a Newco that I sat in and it must have been broken because it was AWFUL. Like I sunk to the floor. Lol. But I would say as long as you think its comfy, go for it

That's the one I just ordered. I thought it looked weird but it was SO comfy!! I'm super pumped to get it!

That's the one I just ordered. I thought it looked weird but it was SO comfy!! I'm super pumped to get it!

I just love that it feels so firm yet still comfortable. Like it doesn't feel like its going to fall apart in 6 months. I may try it out and take some naps in it before baby ever gets here

I was looking at glidders at baby's r us, and my husband sat it one, looked at the price tag, and said, why don't we just get a lazy boy instead?

We're having a similar dilemma in trying to pick a good chair and I read a blog about converting a chair to a rocker and it doesn't look that hard. Maybe a little ambitious... I prefer the look/feel of the chair vs the glider too. Why are the Pottery Barn ones sooooo expensive? Does anyone have one? Are they worth the $?

Gliders are insanely expensive! While it shows wood, I got ours for DS at BJ's wholesale with the ottoman for $100, after a $50 off coupon.
