    It looks like a spongecake with icing sugar.
    Or a beignet du monde, but in cakey form.

    Butter cake, right?

    We don't have it here :(:( But I have a friend who has mailed me some.  It's a midwest thing, I think???  I had never even heard of it until she mentioned it.  Was an online friend, and she mailed me some from a bakery a few years ago.  But she's since moved, so can't now.  OMG it was the thing ever. I miss it.

    The time I had it, it was flavored? She got it in St. Louis..  it was chocolate peanut butter, I think.  It was seriously one of the best things I've ever eaten.

    It's stupid good. I love just vanilla it's my favorite. And yes I think it is customary to the midwest. St. Louis is known for their version.
