ear infections and feeding

I was reading an interesting article the other day about BM and ear infections, so I was just curious what you all have went through!

    Just my experience but DS was FF and had several ear infections.  DD is BF and hasn't had any.

    LO was BF until 6mo and just last month he had his first ear infection due to RSV. Our pedi said ear infections generally come about after or during a cold/illness. RSV was super bad this year and once a day for almost a week their office admitted a LO for this. Its been a terrible winter up where we live.

    No, actually it's not the bottle.  In the study I'm reading, they are specifically talking about the protective factors of breast milk against ear infections.

    Up until recently I would have said LO never had an ear infection, but now he just recently had one. He is formula fed now, but when he was younger used to get both breastmilk and formula.

    Ds1 had 2 ear infections in his entire life and he is almost 3. He was fed breastfed until he was 18 months. Ds2 is 7 months, fed breastmilk and hasn't had any illness yet (knock on wood).

    My good friend breastfed her son until he was 2 and he needed tubes in his ears by the time he was 1. He had recurrent ear infections.

    @samanthaashley93 Oh no no, don't think FF caused all that.  I didn't make this poll to make anyone feel guilty about not BF, I was just curious if anecdotal evidence supported the papers I was reading.

    DD is breastfed, and has had two ear infections. I was breastfed, and I had to get tubes when I was 18 months old.
